Recruiting Football Talk VIII

But he only has 1 final four! 😂
Anyone notice how the clowns were missing during the entire game?
I mean I love me some Barnes and am not on the “fire Barnes” train that some buffoons out there are on. However, until he wins the big one, his legacy will always include “but he couldn’t win the natty”.

These last 3 games... That's the team that can make a big run. Hell, I'll include the auburn game in that just because of the venue and that we got that team to play our game.. We lost, sure, but we dictated how that game would be played.

Great game today!

Revenge tour starts this week. Beat UK. Beat vandy. GBO🍊

He is the best basketball coach Tennessee has ever had, regardless of what he wins from here on out.

Why even bring up fahrin? We’re feeling good today. Get with the program.

Understand what you're saying here but - "Couldn't" and "didn't" are slightly different. Lots of great coaches, even in the HOF, didn't. It's not an easy thing to do. Every year there's several teams that COULD win, and all but 1 don't. Stars pretty much have to align.

That said, Rick's career and legacy is not defined by whether or not he wins one. I really hope it does so it puts the whole debate to rest, but Rick's legacy has already been made on the sport. It's the character, tenacity, defense, high standards, grit, etc that he coaches and his teams play with. From standing up to Dean Smith and shaking up the ACC to making Texas and Tennessee CBB powerhouses.

No offense to JJJ, but Igor really is a big upgrade.

6’10 > 6’6.

Just being a bigger/more athletic team in general has helped a ton.

Lanier is 2-3 inches taller and more athletic than Vescovi.

Shack is shorter than Knecht, but now we have two guys 6’10+ that can defend. Plus add in 6’9 Cade who has played really well this year.

Edit. Gainey has also taken a big step this season as well
