I need to rewatch it.

It’s one of those shows in which you benefit by doing so. Like Justified. I liken it to Shawshank Redemption. It was the first movie my late wife and I saw together. Since then, I’ve rewatched it countless times, owned it on both VHS and DVD and yet when it’s on TNT in a slightly edited version, I’ll stop down and watch it with the commercials and if a scene’s on YouTube? It gets a view.

I remember watching it and not really expecting much. I'd watch an episode and think "holy sh* that was good" . . . I kept expecting it to bottom out at some point in the season, but it just kept getting better and better.

The Wire was pretty good, but I couldn't figure out why people were saying it was the best of all shows.
