Recruiting Football Talk VIII

You're on offense. . . an errant pass heads out of bounds under the goal. . . you jump out to save it and while in mid-air you turn and fire the ball at an opposing player. . . the ball caroms off their forehead, hits the backboard and goes in the hoop. Did you just score 2 points?
Goes to the closest offensive player.

Missed a bball game where you couldn’t talk about how Lanier isn’t that good? Shocking.

An opposing pitcher is having a really good day so far.
Yeah I guess watching Lanier finally have a great game should have been more important than my mother in law having to go to the hospital. Maybe just keep your mouth shut next time.

I don't think so, just like a shot deflection, it's whichever offense touched it last I think?
The rule when a player scores on his own basket is the closest player to the play gets the points. With the offensive player throwing it off the defensive player’s head, he may get it, but it’s also not quite as clear with the scenario.

Oh he said you're on offense and you save it from OOO, but it hits off defense and goes in the basket.

You're right on an own goal. I thought he was asking about not an own goal.
