Sampson did not run the 40 at the Combine to give himself extra time to train after his late-season hamstring injury, which limited him in the CFP loss at Ohio State in December. He did run on Tuesday, hitting the 4.46- to 4.49-second range on his two attempts, per sources.
The 6-foot-1, 334-pound Simmons, one of the strongest players in the program, said at the Combine he planned to do the bench press at Pro Day, but did not end up doing it on Tuesday.
McCoy also did not go through any drills or testing, just like at the Combine, as he fully recovers from a troublesome hamstring issue that forced his early departure from the Senior Bowl earlier in the draft process.
For the likes of Mays, Thomas and others, this was their chance to impress NFL scouts and position themselves for more workouts with teams and potentially to be drafted in April, and Thomas notably jumped into offensive line drills after finishing the defensive line workout.

Disappointing times for Sampson.
Also disappointed for Bru. Without working out at either the combine or pro day there’s no way he gets drafted, right?
I think golfers had a hard time with Tiger because he wasn’t relatable in the way you said. Golfers like to see even the pros be humbled by the game from time to time, and for a long time, Tiger seemed immune from that. I think it’s the same reason it took golf fans a long time to warm up to Jack.his private life is a non-issue with me….. I mean Arnie was notorious for his womanizing and he’s an idol
There was something about Tiger I just didn’t like. I never met him, so it wasn’t an interaction I had. Maybe he was just too good too fast for me. HGH and other PED usage is highly rumored to have happened as well…..never proven.
He was driven more than any athlete I’ve heard about. That’s what made him great, and maybe what caused some to not be a fan. He wasn’t “real”almost machine like.
I’ve always maintained he’s 2nd best ever, but I could easily say #1.
Now that his career is winding down, I look back at it in awe. He’s a different person now, more accessible and I’ve grown to like him ….. a little![]()
Why is that disappointing for Sampson? 4.4s and game film probably clocks him going faster than that. His biggest hurdle is that he plays RB and the league doesn’t value that as much as they used to.Sampson did not run the 40 at the Combine to give himself extra time to train after his late-season hamstring injury, which limited him in the CFP loss at Ohio State in December. Yea, a training regime that included links to trainers associated with Barry Bonds’ HGH plugMaybe. Likely even. He also had a drastically different training regimen than pretty much every other golfer back then.
Ya, the track start technique is so so much of how fast a 40 is. I'd rather see them take a hand-off or be in the WR stance to see how fast they get up to speed in a game.I think the Combine should do a separate speed measurement that's taken once players have gotten up to speed. Keep it a 40-yard measurement but don't start until they reach the 20-yard mark. 20-60 yards. A bad start can kill a 40 time, and the starting position/timing the jump aren't really indicative of actual football skills for many positions.

Also documented visits from a well known Juice Dr… at his home… for “experimental” treatments…
Dude was absolutely swollen.

Also difficult to believe a serial liar and cheater off the course was a straight shooter on the course.
Tiger is a billionaire. He has access to the best trainers/nutritionists/chefs in the world.Said it was likely even.
His training regimen was still way different from other golfers. You still have to lift weights while taking steroids to get jacked.
And, that additional 'drive' and 'focus' are likely a big part of what made him stumble. You can only be 'machine like' so long. What about the PED usage rumor? Yes, the extra length on shots helps. But you still have to control the flight. Did he really drive it that much futher than the field?his private life is a non-issue with me….. I mean Arnie was notorious for his womanizing and he’s an idol
