Bruce had the elite 8 in his pocket. Barnes took over as the best when he matched it. Now he’s doubled it, he also has 3 conference championships under his belt. I love Bruce but it’s not a debate at all anymore. Barnes is the best to have ever done it here.
Rick's is far more stacked, though he's been here longer. You can add the 1-and-dones too: Springer, Johnson, Phillips, Chandler.I’d be intrigued by a hypothetical all Bruce Pearl vs. Rick Barnes team. I appreciate what Pearl did, and I’m also appreciative of Rick’s tenure. I’m soaking every minute of this current run with Barnes.
Bruce’s team:
Chris Lofton (PG by committee
Jajaun Smith (PG by committee)
Tobias Harris
Tyler Smith
Wayne Chism
6th: JP Prince
Rick’s team:
Zakai Ziegler
Chaz Lanier
Dalton Knecht
Admiral Schofield
Grant Williams
6th: Lamonte Turner
These rosters are interchangeable either side. I would pick Rick’s team in this matchup.
Losses:lost to auburn, and another sec school.
i feel cautiously optimistic here. if we do our usual thing and play flat, we lose. if we play like we have been, we win.
Stokes was with Cunozo. Cuonzo’s hypothetical team would put up a fight too, surprisingly.Rick's is far more stacked, though he's been here longer. You can add the 1-and-dones too: Springer, Johnson, Phillips, Chandler.
Bruce has Jarnell Stokes.
Oh that's right. Martin had an impressive group of dudes.Stokes was with Cunozo. Cuonzo’s hypothetical team would put up a fight too, surprisingly.

REBOUND! We have to out-rebound them. They are great on the offensive glass tipping the ball back out. Need Mashack to have a big night defensively and shut Uzman (or whatever his name is) down. Out rebound them and shut him down to less than 10 points, and we win the game.At least Houston doesn’t have a dominant big. That’s the teams we seem to struggle with. They are athletic and scrappy though. Better hit open shots. It will be a game we can’t afford to miss open shots.
Yes sir!! You are very welcome. She’s very smart to consider those things before she gets started on that path. It is definitely not for everyone who are animal lovers. Best of luck to her, and if she ever changes her mind and wants to reconsider going down this path, reach out to me and I’ll help her.@OGbabyaviVol
Are you the vet in Georgia I spoke with about my daughter who was considering going to vet school?
If so I wanted to let you know I appreciate your offers of help. She has decided she wants to seek a different path. After some research and consideration she decided the stress associated with both the schooling and practice may not be for her.
She has decided to go into teaching.
She asked me to reach out to you and thank you for your kindness in offering to help her allong the way should she seek that path.
Yet another justificaction of my absolute loathing of Martin: his results were substandard of the talent he had, he handled himself poorly the last two years and he's a Purdue grad. He, Donnie and Uncle Jerry can go in our round ball hall of shame as far as I am concerned.Stokes was with Cunozo. Cuonzo’s hypothetical team would put up a fight too, surprisingly.
