I would've chosen Lagway over Nico in a heartbeatSo I was talking to someone and said I'd hoped NICO would at least have produced like DJ Lagway with the Gators. And then I looked at DJ Lagway's numbers Yikes. Not good. Then I found this snippet (thanks AI):
He holds an On3 NIL Valuation of $3.8 million, seventh among college athletes and fourth among football players, and has deals with Gatorade, Nintendo, Epic Games and Leaf Trading Cards.
With his numbers last year, 3.8 million?
It won't prohibit someone from being a great NFL player but it may cause some elite players to choose other schools that will prepare them for the NFLI get that too, but If player A didn’t learn a full route tree in college, why would that preclude him from doing so in the NFL?
So to me, if the talent is there, no matter where they went to college it will eventually show up in the NFL. Now, the argument of draft position being lower holds more water imo
It's about the Jimmies and the Joes. X's and O's make little difference if you don't have dogs getting after it.I don't have a problem with our system, although I feel that he will need to make some adjustments bc teams are starting to defend it better. We need some quality NFL players to make the doubts about our system go away.
Another reason why I believe @Visidog is my man Brooks. Mad props for what he brings to our board. Best opposing poster we got on scheme and data. Like Brooks as best commentator not on UT beat too.
We have elite players. If you're basing this on the fact that we didn't pick up Arch Manning after Nico bugged out in a post spring portal window then you are being silly. Who of consequence has not been locked up by now? We needed a 3rd scholarship qb and we got one, that is pretty good. It’s a valid concern, Heupel’s job is to win at Tennessee. But part of that requires elite players and if Tennessee has issues getting them due to the offense then that’s a valid issue
