Sure, enounters are insanely more common. Hundreds, maybe thousands a day. Add the stupidity of humans and I can math it.

100% respect them. But I wouldn't panic either. Slowly walk away, get big, make a bit of noise.

The worst are the folks at cades cove that want to get as close as possible I wish the bears would smack them.


Bears in suburbia find their own food it seems. They are everywhere here in neighborhoods and downtown. Even worse in Black Mountain.

I think its illegal to shoot them, or even scare them in Asheville.

It is actually such a bad movie. They literally had Michael Oher getting distracted by a balloon during football practice. Like I know he had issues but they acted like he couldn't tie his shoes before the white savior Tuohy family saved him. Horrible movie

Never forget when Sandra Bullock taught Michael Oher how to play left tackle and Hugh Freeze how to coach football

About 15 years ago I was at the Brewery in Gatlinburg watching football and drinking a few beers. I left around midnight walking to my car in upper parking lot and to my surprise a big black bear was balled up sleeping in the pathway. Talking about someone sobering up pretty quickly. I just kept on walking by and the bear never moved.

Bru came out yesterday from his surgery/rehab looking like Steve Austin 6million dollar man... Dude is bigger, stronger, faster, and looks smoother right after the catch... he's gonna either catch it or make anyone covering him or getting in his way eat turf. Period.

4 carries. If he doesn't show up in your box score, then the box score you're viewing is inaccurate (probably CBS Sports?). CBS Sports also shows no passing attempts for Merklinger yesterday. All his passes were attributed to Gaston Moore. I just verified they also show no rushes for Lewis. CBS sucks, and not just for their sports.

Tonight was the night. Just got back from our daughter’s engagement party. He popped the question and she said yes. I just felt like George Banks aka Steve Martin as she entered the room and everyone just ran up congratulating them. Then she cut her eye toward me and for a second, I saw the little smile from the girl who grabbed me around the legs saying daddy’s home.

It goes by so fast. I just smiled back and kept track of all the Benjamin’s leaving my bank account. Both happy and sad.
