We got out rebounded terribly by Houston, especially in the first half. They had a crazy amount of second and third shots.

A poster over in BB forum stated This Florida team is best college team he/she has ever watched. I can think of 5 teams just in the 80's that would smoke this Florida team.

1981 North Carolina team with Jordan, Worthy and Perkins
1983 Houston Cougars team with Olajuwon, Drexler, Young and Anders
1984&85 Georgetown Hoyas with Ewing, Wingate, Williams and Jackson
1990 UNLV Running Rebels with Augmon, Larry Johnson and Greg Anthony.

Even the Florida team that won the natty twice I think with Al Horford, Taureen Green, Corey Brewer, Joakim Noah, Lee Humphrey and Maurrese Speights was better. 4 of them had productive or decent NBA careers and Horford might even be a hall of famer.

I actually like and respect Kelvin Sampson. He and Barnes are also friends and have similar coaching philosophies pertaining to defense. Can’t stand Todd Golden.
