This is stupid thinking though, it doesn't take into consideration what we lost. Barnes isn't a one and done wonder like Calamari, and the depth to absorb that much loss was not there. Money ain't got a dang thing to do with how many games we win this year. If Barnes got a billion dollars it wasn't going to change the reality of this years roster problems.Has a lot to do with it to me. To whom much is given much is required. It would be the equivalent to a coach at a major football program missing a bowl game in his 5th season.
Somebody mentioned that realtime in the game thread which astounded meDid anyone notice at like the 1:43 minute mark, Guarantano throws the ball with what likes like only his thumb on the laces? I had not noticed that before, seems like a weird grip. Although, I don't know if he throws it with that grip all the time or not.
So if Pruitt is going into his 5th season at Tennessee and misses a bowl game because he lost a crop of seniors from the year before, would that be cool? I don't think so. Isn't exactly the same thing with basketball and football but I think it's a pretty fair comparison. He's paid 4.7 million to coach guys up and replace them with quality guys when they leave. With that being said I do think Rick will get this team to the tournament. This is stupid thinking though, it doesn't take into consideration what we lost. We already recruit the sh!t out of Georgia-- and Georgia is not like Florida beating our ass for a decade straight.. And also we pulled Henry T from Cali last year.. pretty damn good.
If you build it they will come. Our primary recruiting will always be the Carolinas, Georgia, Virginia, Alabama and Tennessee. But you build a brand and it's easier to get the kids from Texas, California, Louisiana, Florida.
