Kliff got hired, Ruhle Interviewed and basically was offered the job before he backed out of the Jets after He couldn’t bring his entire staff. Safe to assume there was at least talks involving kelly and Mullen.

I’m hoping Mullen gets some more buzz for NFL vacancies this year. His name started circling last year. Hope they finish strong.

Of course he doesn't go to the NFL, then your plan only helps his weakest area, recruiting.

When we going to see some big time recruits commit here soon it’s been way too quiet and our 2020 recruiting class is only ranked 25th. I thought Pruitt was a great recruiter, a class this lowly ranked won’t have us competing with Florida Bama abc Georgia anytime soon.

Honestly I think he's a terrible coach and isn't capable of succeeding at this level...... but it would be just our luck for him to go to Arky and build a half-way respectable program and everyone blame UT for his failure

Per my 3rd party source, Arkansas has reached out to Butch. Edit: I didn’t see the midday 180 tweet... however, Brice says he’s the ONLY coach they’ve reached out to.

Please lord, let me find favor in your eyes and let this happen.

Butch would turn it down for the simple fact they play us next year. He wants none of that.

He won't, but even if he did it wouldn't matter because his record will pale in comparison to Pruitt's by the time he gets to year 4-5 here.

I tend to agree but I’m not sure he can recruit the Southwest well enough to survive. They should hire Norvell or Leach.

I listened to most of the RTI insider podcast with Matt Rays partner as the guest - Brandon I think was his name.

Guy comes off like Don King trying to hype up some of these kids. He raved about Darin Turner and Reggie Grimes and Len’neth Whitehead etc like they passed through his birth canal.

Also seems convinced we’re getting like 15 other kids. Everyone he talked about he made it sound like they were ours if we asked them to be.


Legit kinda reminded of @Bassmaster_Vol in the old Noah Cain etc threads lasy cycle.

He’s a very good coach. He’s got Baylor undefeated right now after stepping into a grease fire. He also got several nfl players while at temple.

I haven’t really studied his teams to know much about his scheme. But his records at temple and Baylor are very impressive.

Players are going to go to Florida no matter who’s coaching there so I’m not worried about that. Basically every time Florida has had a great QB they have won a natty so id rather then not have a QB guru like Mullen.
