I don’t think he is a great recruiter, but I don’t think he has to be there. If you have a pulse you can pull top 10-15 classes. As long as he continues to develop he will always have 9-10+ win teams.
He has to have a good DC. Him and Grantham together are a real force. They are just going to get better barring program rot continuing to be a big problem...They really need some discipline there, or it will get really bad really quick.

I think those kind of issues are the biggest potential roadblock to Mehlans longterm success at UF over time.

Mullen is too goofy to be successful long term. Will probably end up with an undisciplined program, or UF will just get tired of him being an "almost" type coach. Pruitt beating him in the next two years will probably put him on the hot seat if he hasn't won the East yet. I think if all three had equal talent, Pruitt would be the best coach out of him, Smart, and Mullen.

I hope Pruitt can get it together, but I am concerned that we are losing too much production from our seniors to really make a run at UF early in the season....sucks too...just about the time all these guys start finally playing up to their ability...we are going to lose them..🤬

Yeah but they will have made their impact if we can just get to a bowl game. I think next year will be another up and down season, hopefully we'll get to 8-4 or so, and 2021 will be the true breakout season with a sophomore Bailey.

Agreed...I think this will take a few years to coalesce...more like what Dabo has done at Clemson..without Dabos advantage of garbage competition...which means we need to be even more patient.

Baller vols looked great today. Good resilience to a little 2nd half run. UW's bigs were getting away with murder due to how much size they had on us, but we still played really well. Loving Lamonte & Bowden's play this year. Fulky & Pons have been sweet surprises with their output and improvement. James looks like he is coming into form. ORN looking like he'll be a great player soon.

Kinda wild we beat the #20 team in the country with only 3 points off of the bench. Only 6 minutes from Jalen & 17 from Nkamhoua.

Hey, 60th year anniversary of "the stop" vs Heisman winner Billy Cannon of LSU. The play looks a lot like the end of last week! (Second embedded video; I can't get it by itself.) Just thinking about it because LSU talking about Cannon's famous LSU punt return vs Ole Miss in 58 tonight.

Cool stuff
