One thing I learned on Saturday:

Will Ignont ain’t worth a damn. Now, don’t get me wrong - I don’t think this is ground breaking news. I just thought he had some untapped potential that maybe this staff would dig out. Former 4 Star AL LB with offers from UA and others. All the talk of him taking on a leadership role this summer. Blah blah blah. But on gamedays he just looks slow, lost, constantly out of position, and clueless.

That was 90% of the team from what I could tell.

Neither is Shannon Reid. JJP not being who he should be is really fccking us. After that game if I'm a OC and see Ignont/Reid or Banks it's play action time

Unbelievably, the Mets pooped all over themselves. How do you give up a 6 run lead in the bottom of the 9th? C’mon man! The Mets could have really buried the Nats. Smh
The Mets, Vols and Grizzlies always play with my emotions. One would think I would be numb to it by now.....wrong.

Why did Garland get so many snaps Saturday? Is that how Pruitt lured him into staying? Promised more playing time no matter if he deserved it or not? If so, we are really in trouble, because that means Pruitt is already letting the inmates run the asylum.
In the words of Nigel warrior, I was flabbergasted when I heard how many reps Garland got! Wtf Pruitt?! That sends a message if I’ve ever seen one, and it isn’t a good one!

Funny story. My son didn't want to weed eat after mowing. I told him he had to it was in the bible. He said where in the bible. I blurted out Revelations 14:15. Needless to say he finished the weed eating and I thanked the Big Guy for bailing me out because I had no idea what was written in Revelations 14:15.

15 Then another angel came out of the temple and called in a loud voice to him who was sitting on the cloud, “Take your sickle and reap, because the time to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth is ripe.”

Maybe Pruitt could use this one ......

Sir, this A+ parenting. If my old man had pulled this I would face thought the X-Files were real.

IMO the coaches treated this like a scrimmage, and the players embodied that attitude. It’s just not acceptable. But when you look through that viewpoint, that’s why they shuffled so much. Wanted to see who could do what, and who was serious about playing. So maybe that’s why garland got time, to prove himself I guess? Probably a stretch but clearly only like 3 players had urgency and fight. The results spoke for themself.

Having like two good linemen and three good linebackers is really a killer

Imma be severely disappointed if I don't hear about a falling on a helmet incident soon.
siap yesterday....this is the type of stuff that lets you know that the team hasn't developed leadership from w/in. JJ's comments yesterday not withstanding, when guys on the team are doing stuff like this in front of God and err'body to see, there's little to no fear of any consequences.

and we'll never know what may, or already might have, happen behind closed doors as a result of his latest social media outbursts...........i'll just say this, i don't think you would have seen too many teams from the late eighties thru the early aughts that this a) would be tolerated or b) happened in the first place.

so either the culture isn't fixed yet, despite the "positive vibe" we've heard about........or this is something new.

if it's the latter, that's infintely worse than the former......and that only gets fixed from w/in.

Such a talented dummass
It just makes no sense too me. I wasn't happy about the first post yesterday when he thought it was funny, then he deleted it. Personally I was willing to give him a pass and chalk it up to a young tone deaf kid. Then he started tweeting dumb stuff that basically tried to justify the first tweet and now this.

On one hand we have JJ taking responsibility for the lose and begging fans to come out to the game this Saturday. On the other we have this DA trying to push every button the fans have.

As many have realized, I think Pruitt decided to use Saturday as a Scrimmage. Unfortunately we don't have the talent to "Scrimmage" against anyone. I think there were disparities in snaps because they were trying to see what they have that can't always be gleamed from practices. Right, wrong or indifferent, that is the approach that he took. The smart thing to do was build a lead and then "Scrimmage" but whatever....

And I think it's important that the players handle this or at least something similar.
Not even sure what a coach can do with the way he's wording things, he's being careful enough to get in jabs without technically breaking any rules.

But also, I just think the message is stronger if the players show they've had enough. Would show that he doesn't represent the room, if that makes sense.

They want to have a meeting and discuss what's acceptable, great. Now show you mean it.

Biggest dissapointments from both side of the ball from proven playmakers:
Defense Darrel Taylor 2 tackles no sacks. Not disruptive at all. So much money on the line for this guy.
Offense Josh Palmer 3 catches 17 yards. Expected him to be of the confrence biggest play guys at WR.
These two need to get their heads out out their arse.
I've never understood the hype for Josh Palmer. We always hear how great he looks but hes never been as good as Callaway and Jennings and I dont think he ever will be.

it totally makes sense. and you're spot on. if i'm on that team, i don't want that guy being my representative to the masses. he wouldn't speak for me, and i'd make sure he...and everyone else...knew it....one way or the other.

and i do think it's important that we don't let his actions speak for 'the team'. i think we know he doesn't speak for JJ or Ryan Johnson etc....but it's also clear, they don't speak for the entire team either.

the bad apples simply gotta go....one way or the other.

enough is enough damnit.....that's the basic attitude this team needs to have from this point forward. anyone that isn't there...get there or get out.

and if the team won't do it themselves, then the coaches need to do it.

Brian Maurer got into it with fans, defending Murphy and his tweet. Fans shouldn't tweet at players, but the coaches can't control fans-- they can only control players. Add a social media rule to team rules and enforce it. Other coaches do it, at UT and elsewhere.
agreed. time to put the twitter/instagram down. nothing good is coming from this at this point.
