In other news, on this day, We hired and fired Greg Schiano.

And to commemorate it, Rutgers fans are rioting (on the internet) because they didn’t hire Schiano. I really can’t imagine being so low that you think it is a good idea to give an 8 year guaranteed contract to an unemployed coach whose last HC job was an unmitigated disaster. Not to mention, how many second acts at a school have ever worked out very well?

Not an apologist for Hoke and wouldn’t care otherwise, but that decision and Jennings work to be reinstated gave us the player we’re witnessing. Lot of personal hangups that would have left him less than ordinary without this journey. He deserves all the credit for his transformation but I doubt he gets there without the fight and personal account he had to take of himself.

I think this is the truth. CPF & CJP gave him a path back but he had to take that path, which included recognizing his mistakes - his rant was one - staying away from the team when he was hurt may have been an even bigger one. He learned to put team before self and he earned his opportunity. He’s grown into the man and player he is now by working to focus and control his fire. That wouldn’t have happened without Hoke’s decision.

Who has Utah played that has a comparable or better defense than LSU? I do agree about OSU. They're the team to beat IMO.

42 - LSU
44 - Arizona State

Will also play 13 ranked Oregon in the PAC-12 championship game.

I'm sure you'll be dismissive, "it's the PAC-12" or something, but LSU isn't an elite defense. We rank higher than them in scoring defense even at 36th. They've given up 23.5 PPG to opponents, have given up a lotta points to opponents you wouldn't expect either.
