Would UGA at 12-0 have gotten in over OU even after the loss yesterday? They finished No. 5 in the playoff rankings. Muschamp did us all a yuge favor with that win.

We essentially got this game because the SEC didn’t want a KY v Louisville rematch
(Music City Bowl)
Mississippi State vs Louisville

(Belk Bowl)
Kentucky vs Virginia Tech

(Gator Bowl)
Tennessee vs Indiana

There, didn't need a UK/UL rematch the entire time.

Nashville can sugma, I'll probably try to go anyway (2010 was my only UT game)

I think we should just be happy we earned a Bowl game period. I really don’t know where all this picky and choosy has come from. Half the people on this board had us written off.

Which is exactly the reason why we deserved a New Year’s Day bowl..you’re looking at through a narrow lens as “we should be content with what was given to us” and not looking at it as it’s much less than what this team earned.very shallow perspective to be honest.

Talk about upside down world. Whew

That's what happens when you lose to Georgia State. Hate to see Kentucky get to go to Florida in the sun but this will be a good matchup for us.

GSU loss doesn't affect it. It's to avoid the UK vs Louisville rematch. I would imagine we actually had dibs on the Gator Bowl but compromised for MCB due to logistics, expenses, recruiting, etc. Seems there's negotiation for some of these lower-tier bowls.
