I was shocked a few months back when I brought this up at a family gathering. My mom taught elementary school for some decades at both Ball Camp and Hardin Valley. She's a huge softie, loves kids, and has won awards for her teaching. Parents, students, everyone loves her and she's very understanding (again...huge softie).
I brought the story up and she immediately responded saying it was hardly bullying and scoffed at it. Said kids are laughed at by each other all the time and real bullying is much worse. I didn't know what to say

other than...but...but...UT kid...in Florida...ok maybe it wasn't "bullying" but kid was laughed at...in Florida...eff Florida. That's all. If a Floridian is doing something, then it's wrong. Case closed, ma!
