We went on the Magic to Grand Cayman and Castaway Cay (5 nights). The number of days was about perfect for us. According to several we spoke with (comparing it to the Dream), it’s smaller, maybe less “grand,” and less amenities, but affords better dining experiences and far better port experiences since it’s about half the population dumping out on an island. For instance, when the Dream is in port at Castaway Cay, you can’t find a beach chair.
Disney does several things just right whether you have kids or not. It’s cleeeeeen, well organized, and the dining experiences where you get to keep your servers the entire time are gold, Jerry.
For us, we definitely want to go back on the Magic, whether the kiddos are with us or not. It just fits our style. What an amazing experience. It’s got the Disney World touch without the Disney World exhaustion. It’s expensive, but yet a great value. I highly recommend.
