I don’t think Pruitt has him as active and hosting high profile recruits if he is gone. I could be wrong but would seem strange. I know I wouldn’t want someone with one foot out the door involved in the recruiting of future players.

Just because a guy hasn't balled out at his current situation, often with limited opportunities and still young, doesn't mean the potential isn't there. Anyone that bet walkon Baker Mayfield or Joe Burrow would be a heisman when they transferred is 1000% kidding themself.

I’ll be shocked if Maurer has half the impact that a Burrow or Mayfield had. So would a couple of staff members. I’d bet good money Bailey comes in and beats him out for the backup position fairly quickly.

I absolutely hate the carousel, and I think idiots are addicted to chaos...Clemson finally lost a guy after years, and all their guys aren't household names....I think stability is the key to our rebuild. If we have to change, I hope to hell it is really somebody that causes the least disruption, and is a upgrade in truth...not on effin paper.

And even then they appointed a former player that was working for them as an analyst. They've done the same thing the few times they have lost coaches. They just keep promoting from within. It helps for the coaches to be together and to be comfortable working together.

Here’s the sad truth of this class:

Rogers plays us and picks Kentucky
Rakim Jarrett plays us and picks LSU
Hardy takes the bigger check from Auburn
Ojulari flips to LSU
Florida takes one of our better defense recruits and we replace him with a slower lesser talented kid
We spend a ton of resources on Kaho and Sewell only to strike out
We’re trying to steal Vandy recruits
We finally get a break and Pittman leaves, and we still get out recuited by UGA

Our top end recruits like Harrison, Hyatt, and Mayes will contribute in a few years, but we got a bunch of practice dummies and no instant impact guys... I expected more in year three, and I’m still wary we have Alabama guys in charge.
