5 of our 13 4/5*s played really significant minutes this year (Wright, Morris, Gray, Solomon, Toots).

If you HAD to pick 5 immediate impact (starter or 2-deep type minutes) guys for next year - who do you go with?

I'll say
Calloway
Hyatt
Lawrence
Thomas
Joseph

Some mostly out of need. We are better positioned to not have to rely on true freshmen this year imo, but these guys I would pick if I had to.

Really don't get why people think Gibbs, Johnson, Palmer, Tillman, Keyton gonna lose reps to freshman.

1. Lawrence
2. Eason (could be Whitehead if he moves to LB or could be French, think LB has some PT opportunity)
3. Big O/Bailey or Perry - one of these 3 earns some DL reps I am not sold on either JuCo guy from last season really holding off the incoming guys
4. Morven or Baron - someone who can give us a pass rush
5. Cooper - Cooper likely can play 3 positions on the OL, losing Ryan/Tatum as well as likely losing Trey and the possibility we don't get Kennedy have me thinking he could earn reps early/often on the OL

So the "new names" that have popped up we didn't have before today.

Len'Neth Whitehead - 4 * LB/RB (Sherrer & YAC)
Jimmy Holiday - 3 * ATH (QB) (Friend & Tee)
RJ Perry - 3 * DL (Sherrer & Rocker)
Baron - 4 * OLB (Nieds & Rocker)

Morven could be the other 4 * OLB (Rumph)

Looks like Sherrer & Rocker might not be doing so bad on the old trail afterall....

Would someone add Joseph and do away with Albright on the 247 calculator, just to get a more realistic idea?

Yes it's stupid that Will (the real OG) hurts the numbers but I'm still curious

CLOSE YOUR EYES NEGAVOLS

"Not a weak recruit on that list"
Excellent on DL, Deep and versatile at LB, 2 bona fide ballers at DB, 3 merchants to stretch the field, 3 RB's with different skill sets, potential crushers at OG, Harrison Bailey. This might not be a top 10 class but I'm going to go out and say that there will be 4 or 5 guys that will perform at a 5 star level for multiple years from this group. Plus get to run at Hardy, Clowney and a better than most think possibility with Washington and then whoever goes portaling.

That's what I think, too. It's a pretty deep class with a lot of solid to very good prospects who could end up being good players in college. We'll see how many of them end up being stars, but there's no question in my mind this class will improve Tennessee's depth and overall talent across the board. And I see very few guys who even look like potential busts to me, although you never really know with those types of things.

Doom might be a stretch, but not joining the SEC because you want all the $$$ of the Longhorn Channel, was a mistake.

The issues Texas has had over the last decade, which eerily parallel those at Tennessee, do not stem from a failure to join the SEC.

A&M is having a good recruiting class. Good for them. But they are currently sitting at #6 on the 247 composite and Texas is . . . #9, with 6 fewer current commits. And Texas has had top-5 classes the last two years.

Cause on VN, we switch players position based on height and we start all freshmen over upperclassmen.
