He didn't say worthless. He said less valuable. Which is true. The return on investment for a college education is generally not as good as it was 30 to 40 years ago.

This exactly. The issue I faced and many others face is you get out of college and have to find a job. Most employers want some kind of actual working experience or they won’t hire you in your field. So then most of the time you end up in an entry level job doing something bot even associated with your degree that you’re overqualified for making **** money and have student loans to pay back.
It was pounded into my head since I was a kid that college was necessary. In actuality if I had gone to a trade school or skipped entirely I may have been better off.

85 Scholarship athletes on 1 football team at $25k is $2,125,000 a year.

There's 130ish D1 schools, almost 280 million dollars a year JUST to pay that 25k a year to the football athletes on scholarship. Not to mention basketball (something like 230 D1 programs with 13 on scholarship for men's)

Hank's talking about bankrupting the NCAA, risky play Hank...
Not sure if serious or facetious. But a simple thought - have coaches' salaries been skyrocketing over the last 20+ years in despite of there not being enough money or is it because that much money has been flooding in? Any argument that there's just not enough money has to be a joke.

Yet you are claiming that they are “getting paid” for something they have signed a multi year contract to do.

Other students get scholarships and grants and are allowed to earn whatever money they want.... we literally had a walk on on roster who owns a multi million dollar landscaping company out of Georgia. Just Bc you are on an athletic scholarship shouldn’t take that opportunity away from you.
Where did I say they are “getting paid”???

I said no such thing.
