Been a few years, but one night the wife and I were out on a date night. When she went to the ladies room, I asked the waitress to card her when we ordered wine. She did and it brought a huge smile to my wifes face and we both laughed. Started the evening off on a really good note. Waitress got a helluva tip for that one.

Everyone owes it to themselves to watch the new 30 for 30 about Michael Vick. First part covered a lot of areas that hadn’t been touched in previous stories on his saga. Always felt he wasted a large percentage of his talent by not studying film like elite QBs need. DJ Shockley appearance.

Not sure if serious or facetious. But a simple thought - have coaches' salaries been skyrocketing over the last 20+ years in despite of there not being enough money or is it because that much money has been flooding in? Any argument that there's just not enough money has to be a joke.
Problem is that the situation is not college football in a vacuum. There is not near enough money to do this across all sports at all colleges. So, yes, there is not enough money. You want to say that there is enough money to only do it on sports and at schools that are profitable would be true. Unfortunately it's also not a possibility. The government and today's society will simply not allow it.

I do not. Last time I inquired on why I wasn't carded the waitress looked me in the eye and told me that I have a "dad face"

I would feel sorry for you but I am in my 60's. I remember when I went back to school and was doing a post-doc at W&M in Wliiamsburg. I was about your age and my two roommates (early 20's) and I went to Busch Gardens one weekday when schools were still in so the park was pretty empty. Went to the Hoffbrau for lunch and a couple of German beers. Girl at the register looks at us and turns to her supervisor who turns around, looks at us and says yes, yes (about my roommates) and no about me. One of my roommates asked what that was for and I said it for ID checks and I wasn't happy about being so easily cut out. Supervisor quickly says, "Oh, it's not that you look old, it's just you have a couple of grey hairs." Biotch!!!

What were IDs like before photography. Did you have an artist paint yer portrait on a flat stone or something?
Here was my first drivers license image.
