Completely unrelated to anything but Peter Warricks son committed to FAU.

I remember PW being so good in college but knew his career was over before it began when he was drafted by the Bengals. Great players went there to die out of college.

Look at this ... Bengals had the first and fourth pick in the draft. Tanncolor meant they were pro bowlers. Piss color meant Hall of Famer

Jmo, but hearing about Long's interactions...I don't at all mind him in an office. Hell, if it means we pay him 100-200k as an "analyst"...ok. Let him film study, scheme extensively, recruit, but maybe he is best not on the field with the players.

He just has to recalibrate. If he wasn’t good with people, he couldn’t recruit.

While I hope so, some people just have multiple modes...Butch was one of them imo. He seemed nice and awkwardly personable, but some of the stories of how he was on the field and behind the scenes paints a totally different picture.

And plenty of salesmen are arseholes. You may even call them sociopaths. Selling a kid and interacting with them everyday on the field can be 2 different people. Maybe he can be molded, but I won't hold my breath either.

Don’t think he needs to be molded. Just know his boundaries. Having hothead Brian Kelly as a boss couldn’t have helped in that aspect. He’s been doing this for awhile and he’s fairly young, yet this is the first time we’ve heard of this trait. Still not buying it lock and barrel.

And Dooley. Was in an argument in the FF just a couple of years ago.
People talking about him as likeable, just because of interviews and press conferences. But I remember everything all the media members said about him being a total prick off camera.

Not related to long at all, just talking image and reality in general.

I don't buy some of those complaints. Can't complain about the oc being a little intense and act like it's ok for the head coach to do the same thing.

At least from what I read, it was more of how he interacted with the players, rather than other coaches. But maybe what you're saying is BK added to the mess and created peer pressure to act similarly and that would be a good point.

Either way, just glad we have a guy that was a daggum Broyles Award candidate and led ND to one of their highest scoring offenses ever...hired as an analyst. That is amazing and speaks volumes to what Pruitt is building here.

Lol our new Offensive Analyst was named a Rivals Top 25 Assistant Recruiter for this past yr for landing 2 top 30 TEs, Chris Tyree and playing a part in a 5 star commit and multiple other 4 stars
Unfortunately he can't recruit at his new position afaik

Only because our media department game is so on point. And it was very socially relevant. Not really because it was CBJ, who could ruin anything with his cheeseball face.

I think you're half right. I recall there being a number of people that swooned over the cheeseball **** too.
