Jucos are expected to play like upper classman when they arrive on campus. 7 tackles is not a good year. Emitt Gooden is what expectations should be for a JUCO DLine.

He got here last year and has 2 more years. What juco comes out to the big leagues and does something their first year?

Emitt Gooden did something his first year... he was supposed to be our best DLineman going into last year before he tore his ACL... I dont even remember Savion’s name being called last year.. I’ll gladly come back and eat crow if he does something this year.. just don’t see what makes anyone think it’ll be any different this year..

That has to be unfair expectations. They are facing inferior talent at juco then come to big leagues and you expect them to be all American.

Sorry everyone. With everything going on, I know the political discussions are unavoidable but I'm just not big on that stuff. Took advantage of the time to hang with the kids and wow! you blink and they're half grown. They're so much fun, time just passed faster than I realized.

i think there's some unknowns still too....and you never now how they might affect a guy like Bennet...one would think they would help. you get Roman Harrison playing more, you get gooden back on the DL....the ILB's are really good....well, at least one for sure.....the other should be......and you have a guy like KB, who did pick it up 2nd half of hte season last year.....so how does he continue to build on that? he's already show ability. does consistency come next? maybe, especially with some of hte personnel that will be playing around him...in theory, should free him up a bit.

as to your point on the blitzing and creativity.... i really don't think that's gonna be an issue. they've more than proven to me that they know how to scheme up a defensive pressure lol.......and with so many now entering year 3....i would think it shouldn't take a step back any time soon........

Pruitt is going to get to the QB, sacks and INTs are just what the guy does. Tank is a load shooting the gap, Bryce after 2 years has to be considered the best blitzing corner in the conference. Alontae & Sham both came along as well. Now you add Lawrence and not to mention Fields/Beasley who both get after it. 7 seniors on the d-line, a top shelf mike, and a slew of incoming talent. Top 5 unit book it
