DO WE NEVER OFFER ANYONE FROM THE STATE OF TENNESSEE???
Now don't say yes, if the are good enough. I feel there are quiet a few Tennessee high schoolers that are as good and the size or better as some of these "offers".

I like in-state kids as much as anyone. It’s especially frustrating to see them go to Clemson, Ohio State, UGA, etc. However, this is a down year for TN talent. We’re focused on the Carolinas and elsewhere.

Should be better for the 2022 class though.

Omari Thomas, Keyshawn and Hardy were priorities from beginning to end last season. No change in the methodology...just players available.

I don't think our staff "settles". I think they see a fit for everyone they sign.

But if that were true then there would be no git shirts, right? I'm speaking of players they take because they didn't get who they really wanted, but need to fill the position. Maybe that doesn't happen. Maybe they truly only offer and sign players they really want, but I doubt it.

Unfortunately, I believe a few players each year are offered in case they don't get the players they really want, then sign them when they don't get those players. Of course, they would never admit that.

With how competitive the SEC became, I don't think we ever could have gotten back to what Phil had in the 90s. BUT, having said that, I think our floor for the past decade would have been 7 or 8 rather than 4 or 5. He had a monster recruiting class that included Tajh Boyd and Bryce Petty coming in when he was fired. He could still recruit. I feel confident that if we'd just kept Fulmer we'd probably have another couple of wins over Florida and Georgia and maybe would've picked off Saban at least once.

08’ class was a tragedy.
