I completely understand. I'm the director of two mental health assisted living group homes. Securing basic needs such as toilet paper and cleaning supplies for 16 people have been very challenging over the last month or so. We have swapped to a food vendor that normally supplies hotels and were able to get most of what we need now because of the lack of business for hotels. My clients have been quarentined for two months now. This has caused a dramatic increase in negative behaviors. We're just trying to hang on at this point...I posted something similar in the Endzone earlier, but felt like I needed to here also. Most probably don’t know, I’m a Food Director at a Assisted Living Facility in my area. It’s been a challenge and stressful,in the last couple of months (we shut down foot traffic in the first of March). At the first we struggled with getting Lysol, wipes and masks (even through our medical vendors), we still have managed (cloth masks have been donated by a generous person that made them). Now we are seeing the beef and pork (other things also) shortages through my vendor. I am and have been looking at protein alternatives. It’s crushing to me, not only are they confined to their apartments, but they have to settle for whatever we cook for them. This age group looks forward to their meals, I ask all of VN to pray for them. There is value in numbers.
Not to throw poop on your parade, but the best day to stop smoking is today.
When I did my Pulmonary rotation as a medical student, it was at ETSU. The VAMC had a very busy rotation. I cannot tell you how many veterans that we had to tell they had advanced lung cancer. To a man they all said that they had been planning to quit. The Pulmonary fellow would then tell them that they didn’t need to give up cigarettes. He never berated them or told them that it was too late. When I asked him, he said that stopping smoking and undergoing chemo would be hades on earth for their remaining time.
Both of my parents died from tobacco related illnesses. Lung Cancer for my Dad. Lung cancer and Alzheimer’s for my Mother. Both of my Mother’s parents also died from tobacco related issues. Without smoking, my relatives live tp be 100 routinely. With smoking, the men died in their 60s and the women in their early 80s. I detest tobacco and nicotine in any form.
I have had lifelong exercise induced asthma due to extensive smoke exposure as a child.
For your sake, and the sake of your loved ones (I include VN in that group), please make yesterday the last day that you smoked...
Tennessee is quickly approaching 22 commitments for the 2021 cycle, with tight end Myles Campbell set to announce next Monday and the Volunteers trending in his recruitment. Another target is set to announce at the end of the week, and Georgia could be the one team that might slow the rapid momentum from its SEC rival.
Gaffney (S.C.) defensive tackle Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins plans to reveal his top six schools Monday night, and Tennessee, Georgia, and in-state South Carolina are expected to make the cut. Then, Ingram-Dawkins says he will announce his commitment this Sunday.
5 months cold Turkey for me....So glad I quit! Not to throw poop on your parade, but the best day to stop smoking is today.

So, today I found out that a person I was good friends with in grad school passed away in a motorcycle accident.
Then, I log onto a zoom lecture by a friend. In the middle of this great talk on his research, someone hacked his zoom lecture. First, they started posting a bunch of racial slurs, and then after they got booted, they came back on under a different name, shared their screen, and started playing child porn.
Every time I close my eyes I see it. Trying to go to sleep and I just can’t.
Most f@#$ed up afternoon ever. Wtf is the matter with some people?
Power companies and oil industry would not like that. I believe Nickola Tesla had it figured out but was kicked under the rug so to speak. It is unnerving sometimes how some people go to great lengths to be complete douchebags. The effort it took to do that, applied towards positive ends multiplied by all the douchebags in the world and we could probably cure cancer and have a viable clean fusion power source that would end our dependence on fossil fuels within the next five years.

I don’t want to get into an argument with you but I can’t be responsible for your parents or other members of your family though I am sorry for your circumstances. For the record I’ve smoked outdoors for a couple decades now, since it became the preferred thing to do if you were going to smoke.
I make my own choices and accept the responsibility for those as I’m sure you do for yourself as well. I don’t try to hide who I am or what I do and I have no interest in trying to fight with someone who thinks they’re better positioned to make my life choices. On top of that if the virus don’t get me, and smoking don’t get me, and some drunk driver don’t get me or some other malady doesn’t get me, there’s always climate change. jmo.
The simple fact is I'm probably still mostly a non-conformist which makes me tremendously thankful that I live in a free country, well still free at least for now. jmo.
I genuinely hope you have a very good day.
