I'm a few pages behind in this thread, but wanted to post this real quick, before I play catch up.

I've seen a couple of instances of this already in this thread today. (at least to the point I've caught up to)

If you don't recognize the name...please check their stats before you answer their question. There are a lot of really new people on this board, asking some very specific questions.
How much over 90 are you?

****ing useless Comcast. “Router is perfectly fine, you should try connecting your devices to it”

No internet to connect to you sharters

If you have an Xfinity gateway, the Comcast Tech can see if you are online and if your device is broadcasting your network. Restart your gateway and devices to see if this solves your connectivity issue.

Watching a replay of the 1990 Orange Bowl.

Notre Dame’s WR’s are split out wide... in a 3pt stance...

They replayed the 1991 Orange Bowl right after it. If y’all remember both games pitted Colorado vs Notre Dame. Colorado was playing for a share of the NC in both games. Colorado lost in ‘90 and won in ‘91.

I’d forgotten just how good Colorado was. They were a machine.

Massive OL. The size of SEC lines today.
Great dual threat QB’s.
Multiple tailbacks and fullbacks with speed.
Monsters at the OLB positions.
Big, physical DB’s.

They were really, really good.

We get compared to them and Nebraska often. Was interesting to watch them again in their prime.

Tony B says we’re gonna get about 8 more commits before signing day. Pepper your angus for decommits. IMO, when the culling occurs our rivals will say “See, their class is falling apart just like we knew it would.” But those spaces should be filled with upgrades assuming we keep the momentum.

Maybe it's just me but we are beating Auburn like a rented mule this off-season. I can't help but think with social distancing rules affecting trips to the cabin it is taking a toll. Also suck it Niebuhr!!!!!
Speaking of the Barn, noticed this morning Pat Dye had been hospitalized in Atlanta. I think he's around 80 now.

Aight, I didn't want to make @SLICKYINC mad and create another thread, but it's time to talk about this recruiting class. Let's get down to the details.

Nobody likes to look at our class and see 14 three stars. Our rivals are looking at that and laughing at us. TBH, if they were doing it, we'd be doing the same thing because we would assume, as they are, that these are low ranked players and not that great. So lets talk about these players and ask some questions.

First, we know that there are going to be some decommits. Now, I'm not going to talk about who may leave on their own because I'm not sure who, if any, will. I think these guys are pretty tight as they've all committed around the same time. But, chances are, one or two of them will. But because it would be dumb to speculate on that, lets talk about the other questions.

Who is going to get processed. I think this is something that is going to have to happen. I hate to mention names, but I definitely think you can take a look at our commitment board and see some long time commitments whose best offer outside of TN is FAU or something and know they won't end up in the class. Imo, there are at least 4 guys in this class who will be recruited over and processed, and maybe soon. I like Roc Taylor's film, and he isn't a guy we would normally process, but I do wonder with him being basically the same player as Nixon but probably not as good, and with us taking 2 other tight ends in Campbell, whom the staff loves, and Hudson Wolfe, we might have to let him go somewhere else. Idk.

Now, here is the fun question. @HoleInTheRoof is right when he says that we do this every year, but which of our 3 stars will get bumps. Not all of them will. But we do know that some will be bumped. Barton Simmons said on Swain this morning that TN had the most recruits bumped in last years class of any other School. That speaks to our evaluation. So we had Hyatt and Calloway and others get major bumps in last years cycle. It will happen again. Not everyone will, but some certainly will be. So who will it be?

1. Rucker. There is no doubt in my mind that he ends up a 4 star. When you are the priority target for Clemson, Bama, LSU, Fl, and TN, you are an elite player. It isn't like he picked us over UCF. He picked us over three of the latest national champion programs and FL who is known to produce top DB's.

2. Colby Smith. This one is easy. He is already highly ranked on 247, Rivals just needs to upgrade him and, assuming they do, he'll become a 4 star on the composite. He's ranked 130th in the country on 247.

3. Tyion Evans. He is ranked the number 2 juco player in the country. Juco players are always rated pretty late and there is only one four star listed there. There is no doubt in my mind that Tyion is a 4 star before its over. I think he has a legit chance to push for top 100. That's jmo.

4. Miles Campbell. VQ said that our staff believes that Campbell is not only a good player, but that he's a DUDE. The guy has added 20-30 pounds and has not lost any speed. That demonstrates the athletic upside. GA came in late and begged him to commit and he turned them down. I believe that with a strong senior season, Campbell is going to rise pretty high. In fact, 247 will update their offensive rankings the 3rd week of June, and it wouldn't surprise me to see him there as a 4 star player already.

Those are 4 guys that I would be willing to bet end up 4 stars in this class which would raise our average and our ranking considerably. There are others who could rise as well as I believe that Isaac Washington is severely underrated. But perhaps he needs a strong senior season. Jalen Wright is a guy who could remain a 3 star because he is raw at the position, but he has elite speed. So we'll see if he gets the Arian Smith treatment and gets a bump based upon his speed. Trinity Bell is a great athlete, but I believe he remains a 3 star because they aren't sure where he will play. That could change if he has a monster season on the defensive side of the ball. I also wouldn't be surprised if Brooks rises back up to 5 star status after he dominates his senior year and that increases our ranking again.

But anyway, these are my thoughts. What do y'all think? I know tldr.

Would be curious to get your thoughts @griddie and @MemphisVol14

Eh, you’re letting the UGA cope get to you.

At this point, fan or rival alike, if you don’t think we’re landing an elite class this year, you haven’t been paying attention (or you’re lying to yourself).

Don’t give oxygen to their narrative. You and I both know, except for a couple of guys, this class is chock-full of difference makers.
