it's amazing that he created the world first. the entire backstory was written, languages etc. then he wrote the story. i always envision a musical analogy of bonham and JPJ sitting in a dark room stumbling onto Over the Hills and Far Away. Then, JP and Plant come in later on and just shred it.

Gratuitous Zep plug.

Books > movies.

PS, the actor that played Thorin Oakenshield embodied, at least in my mind, what Tolkein envisioned. Seems like dwarves were a punch line in LOTR movies. They played an important part in history of ME. You see that in Hobbit Movies.

Hobbit didnt need to be a trilogy.

I think the issue here is that LotR should be an actual series. The Hobbit would be a 1 season 10-episode series while LotR would be a full series due to how much depth those books have. But, I understand that movies and books are very different I'm terms of engagement and need to have action in tv. Thorin's actor was really good. If you read about the dwarves they played a huge part in the whole story. If I remember correctly they held off the whole northern campaign from Sauron. The elves get a lot of love, and it's fair. But the dwarves are awesome

I feel like those two belong on QVC selling male grooming products. Finebaum had grown on me and I always liked Marcus Spears. I'll still watch but they better have some nice female eye candy and maybe a big linebacker with a beer gut to offset the other two in their skinny pants.
Alyssa Lang needs to stick around on the show

I mean before ME. Tales of dwarves, elves, and men.

‘Twas in the darkest depths of Mordor, I met a girl so fair. But Gollum and the Evil One crept up and slipped away with her, her, her, her, her yeah..

i mean, what is he supposed to say? i'm glad they're planning on it. but i wouldn't have expected him to say anything else.

planning on and happening are two different things. especially when it can be taken out of your control....

anyway, not raining on anyone's parade...or not trying to...cause i hope we get football in it's entireity this fall.....but i think it's still a question mark at this point.

Watching ManCity POUND Arsenal yesterday...the no fan thing really didn't bother me too much watching it on tv. The way they added real crowd noise gave it a good feel, even if I knew it wasn't real. Idk just me. It wasn't nearly as awkward as the bundesliga game with zero noise. That was just weird.

Watch the national news and it is still a nightmare. Actually look at the numbers, it's not a big deal right now. Guess it depends on who will win, fear or logic.

I wouldn’t have expected him to say “full”. Specially with his previous caution on the June 1 reporting date.

JPJ may be the most underrated bassist of all time. Perhaps a bit overshadowed by phenomenal band mates, but certainly phenomenal in his own right.
Was just thinking of bass players yesterday, specifically great female bassists. Had no idea Paz Lenchantin was now with the Pixies.

That gives her a resume of:
A Perfect Circle
Queens of the Stone Age
Pixies
Entrance

Dayuuum
