To further that look at how he’s handled Trey Smith and now we know the deeper issues around Maurer. Sure Maurer got concussed in that MS State game but then obviously he’s been struggling with deep seeded psychological stress. Pruitt held him out and Maurer went to Nashville to see a “specialist”. Now what I’m saying next is conjecture but... my thinking is it was for a psyche evaluation and to get his head right. The team physicians are more than capable of treating concussions. I thought at the time something else was going on for him to go get treated in Nashville but I thought it was maybe nerve damage or something potentially more serious than just a concussion.I think he genuinely cares about them as people and wants the best for all of them.
Many have asked about the numbers and how Pruitt gets to 85. There’s a plan in place to get there and there is no concern with that number to the point if a grad transfer pass rusher or tight end became available the Vols might even entertain that possibility. Obviously there are some walk ons who might not be on scholarship this fall. It’s likely that there will be some roster attrition and then you might have some guys who medical out. If doctors don’t clear Baylen Buchanan for contact then he could be a guy who has to give up the game for medical reasons meaning he stays on scholarship to finish up school but wouldn’t count against the 85.
Look into unlimitedville for mobile high speed internetQuestion for you smart folks who are also RVers. Got an RV will be traveling/living in a few months at a time. What’s the best way to get tv, especially college football? I know satellite is an option but seems expensive, mainly because of equipment cost.
But for real can you imagine the chaos playing out if that same thing happened at UT? Would be the most UT thing of all time. He’d be cruising into year 3 looking like a future success story only to see the program implode before our eyes over the offseason. I can’t think of anything more on brand for the last 20 years. Fulmer was the turning point imo
I like the ‘ChattaTNVol Blue Chip Ratio’ the best! I think I will use it for predicting our future success! 15-0!These are all the remaining guys from the 2016 & 2017 classes using my "who liked them best" analysis. These are, to the best of my knowledge, the only remaining players signed by the previous staff. All of Pruitt's classes were previously posted to this thread in the last few days.
By my count we still, ATM, have 90 kids on our roster. There are 21 from 2016/17 classes, 11 of which were consider blue chips by one or more rating services (53.28%). There are 21 kids from the 2018 class, also 11 of which were considered blue chips by one or more of the rating services (53.28%). There are 23 kids from Pruitt’s first full class, the 2019 class, on our roster for this year, 18 of which were considered blue chips by one or more of the recruiting services (78.26%). There are 25 kids on this year’s roster from the 2020 class, 19 of which were considered blue chips by one or more of the recruiting services (76.00%). In total 59 of the 90 kids currently on our roster were considered by one or more of the recruiting services as blue chip prospects (65.56%).
