If anyone heard about the 30+ vehicle pile up on I-40W yesterday around Dandridge, I was involved. I walked away with minor cuts & bruises, plenty of glass in my face, hair, clothes, and skin. No major injuries outside of a strained lower back & mild whiplash. I was hit from behind (felt like by a train) and sent through the air like a torpedo and my roof landed against the guardrail. Then slid down on my driver’s side door only to be hit again in the undercarriage & frame. So thankful that the good Lord above was with me and that he has purpose for me. This is the second major car accident I’ve been involved in, except the last one (18 years ago) I was hit by a car while riding a dirt bike. Believe it or not, I sustained more injuries during that crash (broken leg and neck injuries). I’m hopeful that no one lost their life in the same accident but I definitely was told that someone lost both their legs. I’ll definitely be praying for everyone involved but I’m unbelievably thankful that I will live another day closer to see my child born.
😮😮 I'm so glad you've walked away from that with only the injuries you have! You definitely had Divine protection! Prayers!

Congrats on the... ....

actually, thank God you are ok.

I don’t understand these jokes. This was a tragedy.
Yeah, my comment was commentary on “how dumb can you be” regarding the storing of the aluminum nitrate next to a fireworks factory. It was illustrating the next level, which was facetious and not meant to take the situation lightly.

I think it was fine but certainly apologize if it was offensive

If you look at the blast damage, it was way too controlled. It literally acted like a crater charge.

No way that was just Ammonium Nitrate (In my opinion)

Ammonium Nitrate off gases very explosive fumes when it is heated up, also, ammonium nitrate gets hotter the more amount of it there is. (Think of it like a lumber yard where they have to water the wood constantly so that it doesn’t catch fire)

If the 2,750 tons or 6,000,000 pounds as they reported was sitting there for roughly 5 to 6 years unwatched there is no way it wouldn’t of exploded before now. Also, those fumes in the surrounding area after the blast would have killed even more people they are highly toxic.

Not everything is a conspiracy.

The Prime Minister or equivalent thereof has stated, paraphrasing, he doesnt understand how a large warehouse full of AN was allowed to reside, unabated, in a heavily populated area without them knowing....for 6 years.

Top 5 Programs benefiting Most from Prolonged Dead Period- from The Athletic
1. Miami, 2. USC, 3. UNC, 4. Ohio St. 5. Tennessee
"Class ranking in 2021: No. 5 overall, No. 2 in SEC, .8990 average player rating
Number of commitments: 24
Top 100 commitments: 2
In-state commitments so far: 3
Most important commitment: Five-star LB Terrence Lewis of Miami (Fla.) Northwestern
In-state signees total in 2020: 10
In-state signees total in 2019: 5
In-state signees total in 2018: 8
Average national recruiting ranking from the previous three years: No. 15
Realistic expectation: Top-20 class every year

The buzz: Only three of Tennessee’s 24 commitments are from in-state prospects. You’d think that’s the antithesis of what we’re looking for on this list. And I struggled with which program to put No. 5. I strongly considered Washington, which has four of the top seven players in Washington already committed. Tennessee got the nod over Washington, however, because it seems right now as though the Huskies are going to lose the top two players in Washington — five-star defensive tackle J.T. Tuimoloau of Sammamish Eastside Catholic and five-star receiver Emeka Egbuka of Steilacoom High.

So why Tennessee? Well, the Volunteers have racked up commitments at an extraordinarily fast pace. And two of those commitments are the elite of the elite — Lewis and four-star defensive end Dylan Brooks of Roanoke (Ala.) Handley. Recruiting analysts have long been saying that Tennessee could be susceptible to a huge wave of decommitments once visits resume, but as the days go by and visits seem less and less likely in 2020, we have to start thinking about the possibility that the Volunteers are actually going to sign most of these guys.

Tennessee is in such a weird spot geographically because the state is so long and stretches into multiple geographic regions. Every program in the Midwest can recruit Tennessee and make the case that it’s reasonably close to home, which means the Volunteers constantly have to fight off other schools to sign in-state prospects. In theory, Tennessee is going to get so much better once the population growth in Nashville leads to more high school football talent, but for the time being Jeremy Pruitt is going to have to make do recruiting semi-nationally. He has done that in 2021 and has benefitted from the fact that his best commitments aren’t visiting other schools."

Oh I didn’t even see your comment. Wasn’t directed toward you. No worries.

I have a theory about people who claim not everything is a conspiracy.

Some things are a conspiracy. The US government is still trying to hide the fact that alien life has been discovered. Watch the clip of Buzz Aldrin on CSPAN from about 10 years ago. He talks about how NASA needs to visit the alien monolith on Phobos, the moon of Mars. He’s trying to tell us.

The Navy literally released footage on (UFOs) implying there are aliens

Gonna be tough watching other teams play for 3 weeks before our first game.

My concern is they will have a major outbreak before we even get to our games. However, they will have more injuries cause with layoff, not sure playing in 30 days is enough work prior to real action to get your body conditioned for that level of play.
