Can someone explain to me why Cedric Wilson Jr. is good enough to play in the NL (Cowboys) but not good enough for Butch to recruit him, either time, coming out of HS or Coffeyville CC?

That happens all of the time. He was a QB in high school.

1. UGA’s QBs haven’t really been tested yet. Specifically, Bennett hasn’t faced a lot of pressure. Pruitt + Ansley will dial up the unique blitzes this week. They won’t let Bennett sit back and be comfortable all game.

2. Auburn isn’t as good as they were last year. We have more experience on the LOS (both sides) than Auburn or Arkansas. UGA will be tested this week in those areas.

3. Our OL, if we stick to the run, will wear them down.

4. Chaney has always had a few wrinkles ready in big moments.

5. Pruitt’s attitude this season in speech and decision making has been aggressive and confident. I think he likes where we stand going into this game.

6. For me, this game comes down to the psychology of our kids. Will they panic? Will they mentally fold? Or have they finally jumped that hurdle. Will they truly put on more steam?

7. UGA still has a better 85, but our roster is configured in such a way that we can win this weekend. If our coaches ain’t afraid, we fans shouldn’t be afraid. I believe.

I don’t think you can rattle off as many wins as we have especially starting the way we did last year and and not be mentally tough.

Why are you posting that? We have some other tough games before we have to run up against that juggernaut.

I don’t think you can rattle off as many wins as we have especially starting the way we did last year and and not be mentally tough.

I tend to agree, but it will be a different degree of psychological pressure trying to knock off a high level opponent on the big stage.

We have proven that we have psychologically conquered choking against opponents with less talent. I have loved that we have gone from finding creative ways to lose to finding a way to win.

This week will be a new mental test. Hopefully we have made that psychological leap as well.

Yeah, we knew it would be one of those years. The place where I got my meteorology degree (Colorado State University) makes predictions every year and they predicted a very active season this year. The fact that we are into the Greek alphabet is insane.

I have to disagree with a few posters about Pruitt dialing up some blitzes for Bennett this weekend.

That really isn’t his MO. He likes to rush 4 and play cover man combo.

If we can’t get pressure on the QB he might bring a 5th.

We need to get a good push and make it a messy pocket.

One thing Pruitt has proven, he will get creative with blitzes from the secondary. Doesn’t send LBs a ton, but corners and nickels have several chances a game to steal a sack.
