My newest obsession. Picked one up I liked at a flea market and started researching it. The more I looked the more I grew interested in axes and hatchets. I go through collecting phases.

My MIL has her grandmother's cast iron. From the 1800s. That's some history and it cooks soooo well

I got a good education on Covid last night. I've been under the weather for about a week and a half and I just thought it was a normal cold. I just treated it with my usual Nyquil and Robitussin. Didn't have a fever until last night and then had a really sore throat with fever spiking. I had my wife take me to an urgent care facility and after two hours, I tested negative for the Flu and Strep Throat. Then came the Covid test and chest x-rays. Chest x-rays were fine, no damage, and I should get my Covid results in a day or so. If it's Covid, I have no idea where it came from.

Take care of yourself sir! Hopefully today you're feeling better.

Do you teach any of those guys in your courses?

Ha. No. I teach sixth grade. The curriculum is general science. Covers a wide range of topics and doesn't delve very deeply into any of them.

I also teach social studies which is ancient history. That's a lot of fun.

Yep. The cooking surface was buffed smooth back then. Not sure why they no longer do it. Cost savings I assume.

Yep. Hers is exactly like that. Smooth and shiny just like yours in the picture. IMO it helps with cleaning.
