Having a bad OL makes JG look bad. I get the disgust with JG, but if our OL actually showed up in this game we see a completely different JG.

What I don’t understand is that Pruitt says that JG plays because of ball security. But that wasn’t close to true today. Better get another man coached up. Other teams seem to be able to bring in backups ( we were playing a 4th stringer to start the season today) but we keep rolling with JG.

JUST run for even 3 YPC and we are fine. Chaney had to get absolutely desperate because our run game was so bad I kbow we were dead last in the SEC the last 3 years and I think we've progressed a lot overall there, but if anyone thought that offense looked familiar...look no further than having zero rush attack.

Seems people were 150% JG 2.5 games into the season and one half of the OL giving up pass rush and run blocking and they are going back to never-JGers

OL was fine when they brought 4/5. When they brought extra men - ya know, when it’s on the QB to call out potential blitzers - they didn’t do to hot. Regardless, when we brought pressure Stetson F’in Bennett at least showed the ability to get the ball out of his hand. JG went back to cement shoes / no feel for any rush / no ability to extend/make plays JG.

Say what you. I defended JG to this point. But they said it in the middle of the game - at Tennessee you are judged by your performance vs 3 teams - UGA, BAMA, FL.

A&M got outclassed last week by Bama. Same for us today against Georgia. We’ll come back strong. Georgia has definitely closed the talent gap with Bama. Maybe even more talented than Bama now.

I think JG will always be good enough to beat the teams we should beat and give us a good shot against the tossups.

But will he ever play good enough for us to beat Georgia or Florida or Alabama?

I don't think so.

Offensive line, receivers, and backs need some work themselves.

What is being forgotten in all of this is the dirty, cheap way UGA took out Elijah Simmons. Simmons was a difference maker in this game and was missed. This is second time they have taken out our top run stoppers with dirty plays by center.

Where I can agree that the offensive line did not play even close to par. That doesn’t change the fact that we were playing the best Dline in the country. We have to be better. But JG has absolutely 0 pocket awareness.

I disagree. JG has shown he has gotten better this year and good enough to beat any of those. Our OL just didn't show up at all today. Might as well have put our second string in.

It’s on the QB to see potential blitzers and to have a quick read if someone busts through. And if he doesn’t do those 2 things, then he better have the ability to extend plays. JG doesn’t have that ability. Any team who can get pressure on JG and not allow him to hit his first read, we will struggle against. 6-4 is now my expectation until JG proves otherwise or we make a QB change.

I agree and the OL played terribly today and should be judged for it. But I think they WILL own up. All those penalties...all those bad run plays. Friend and the guys will own up.
