Our Oline couldn’t handle their front 7. Period. And when you are getting manhandled up front against elite talent probably not the time to break in a freshman qb who hasn’t had near the reps a normal year would have provided.

The o-line penalties and overall execution of the offense apart from the 2 throws to Palmer was bad in the first half. If you want to say that's UGA, then okay. The penalties were uncharacteristic of the first 2 games and Chaney didn't seem to call a great half.

Agree. I really believe our talent is catching up. I think, as a fan, it’s been tough to admit how big of a talent gap actually existed. However, it’s just painful at times to watch JG at QB. I wholeheartedly believe he’s a good kid and he wants to be a good QB, but he just seems to to have reached his ceiling. Even though other positions have to do their part as well, the offense just seems to always be stagnant with him under center. The bottom line is to score, and last year both Maurer and Shrout, while neither were perfect, they both brought more excitement and confidence than JG, and they moved the ball. It’s so frustrating that it seems other SEC teams (With the exception of KY, Vandy) seem to have little trouble finding competent quarterbacks. I will always cheer for my Vols, but I can’t wait to see us with another QB.

Goes to show you can be loaded with talent, and due to managerial incompetence, have no hardware to show for it. Which has been my fear all along with Snit. We win games due to talent, but he’s dangerous in the playoffs.

Why on earth are these practice "highlights" so bad this year? Who wants to see the heads of lineman, running backs and linebackers in drills non the less. No sound. They just suck.

Did you have this Dave Roberts < Snit scouting report written entering the playoffs? Prolly wasn’t you, but someone listed Big Game Dave as a far superior baseball mind when we started this dance. 😎
