He had a 124 QB rating in toughest level in Georgia. Our current QB had a 82 QBR at a low level New Jersey school. Plus he looks like 💩most of the time when he faces adversity. Let the damn kid play.

If Chaney can’t make it work with a prospect like Bailey, then it’s time to find an OC who can.

All you have to do is look at LSU-- Great quarterback can make even a meh coach look good.
They didn’t even want to hire Ed O. The players just came out in support of him and raised enough stink to where the university hired him. He was the anti Schiano for us.

Chip Long would be a helluva consolation prize as OC.
He could be ok but his knock was always that his teams couldn't score in the big games/against the better defenses on the schedule. Seems to be only as good as his talent advantage is. ND did great against lesser teams those 3 years, but look at his results vs just SEC teams (with ~top 10 talent):

2017 UGA 19 pts
2017 LSU 21 pts
2018 Vandy 22 pts
2019 UGA 17 pts
Also the playoff performance...3 pts vs Clemson.

Aren't there any OCs out there that can do more with less? Guys that can take even an offense full of 3*s and score big? Give that same guy a bunch of 4*s and see if he can score big on 5/4* defenses.

So I went back and looked, Pruitt seems to want coaches he's worked with before, so I went and looked at past staffs he's been on to see who could be a potential target.
Jeff Stoutland- was at Alabama with Pruitt for the 11-12 season. In 2013 he moved on to the NFL and has been with the Eagles ever since. Its not likely but if there are staff changes could be worth a look.
Rick Trickett- was the OL coach at FSU in 2013 while Pruitt was there. Was let go in 2017. After sitting 2018 out he returned in 2019 as AHC and OL coach of the Glenville State Pioneers.
Will Friend- Worked at UGA with Pruitt during the 14-15 season, he sucks
Brent Key- After Pruitts return to Bama was the interior offensive line coach, Mario Cristobal coached the tackles. After Cristobal left was the O line coach Is currently the AHC/OL and recruiting coordinator at GA Tech.

Yeah. Whoever is Leach’s OC in name only. You get the W/L’s with that package. Name a successful OC and take a gander at their relative talent gap. There’s a reason they pop up at successful programs. East Carolina did great with Lincoln Riley...against East Carolina level opponents.
