He could be ok but his knock was always that his teams couldn't score in the big games/against the better defenses on the schedule. Seems to be only as good as his talent advantage is. ND did great against lesser teams those 3 years, but look at his results vs just SEC teams (with ~top 10 talent):Chip Long would be a helluva consolation prize as OC.
Yeah. Whoever is Leach’s OC in name only. You get the W/L’s with that package. Name a successful OC and take a gander at their relative talent gap. There’s a reason they pop up at successful programs. Aren't there any OCs out there that can do more with less? Guys that can take even an offense full of 3*s and score big? Give that same guy a bunch of 4*s and see if he can score big on 5/4* defenses.
