Even if this team only beats Vandy, as long as effort is there, Pruitt gets next year. No more JG. Semi-regular offseason. Beat USA, BG, Vandy, Pitt, SC, KY. Go bowling. Pruitt gets 2022. Book it.
So 6-6? That is what he's already doing.

My only question is if we are ready to fire at 6-6 this year, why not next year?

Same thing for Osovet. Seems like people are ready to anoint him as HC in waiting all based on a YouTube video tutorial he made.
Never heard HC being bandied about...and there was more than one. And the subject matter included him being a forerunner of the RPO offense. Resume sneezing.

Chaney 2.0. He was able to run over lesser opponents. Against equal or more talent, he regularly failed.

In 4 sec games:
'19 UGA - 20 pts
'18 Vandy - 22 pts
'17 UGA - 19 pts
'17 LSU - 21 pts

He was also in 1 playoff game and scored 3 pts vs Clemson.
2 wins on that list and both losses to extremely talented UGA teams. We should all fail that spectacularly.

Yeah I’m exaggerating a bit, but not by much. He might actually be the next big thing, and I hope he does great here. He’s impressed me with his recruiting this round, and I like how seems more fired up than anybody else on the offensive side about losing. However, most people are basing all this love on a handful of video tutorials and there’s really nothing on his resume right now that screams more than position coach at a P5 conference. If he was really The Godfather of the RPO he’s made out to be, somebody would have snatched him up as OC years ago.

For all those getting excited for a possible coaching change you really should take a step back and look at the landscape of athletics and uncertainty surrounding them.

We likely don't even finish this season, and there's no reason to be comfortable with the idea stadiums are open to spectators next season either. No one, certainly not this University, is going to buy out and hire a new coach in that unstable environment.

What I don't understand is why Chaney doesn't take advantage of Osovet's knowledge and innovate some kind of hybrid. An OC should always be looking to improve and evolve as the game does. It challenges defenses to keep pace.

If I were an OC I would just watch tape of the Chiefs and Rams and steal everything they do. Lots of other great teams you could steal from as well. Nobody is asking Chaney to reinvent the wheel. Just help out the OL and QB. Motion in the run game to open lanes. Use that same motion for counter plays later in the game. Use the same motion again for a PA deep shot. Play calling is supposed to be a chess match but Chaney looks like he’s playing like, categories or darts or something

RPOs put so much on QBs. JG could not handle what Coach O was doing in Juco. You have to have a QB who can make quick decisions.
