The article doesn't say who, but it sounds like a few starters may be out.

as long as one of htem is tank..our defense doesn't want any part of that kid...lol.

i'm looking forward to playing auburn, we don't get to do it very often, and we get it twice in 3 seasons...and it's a night game....i don't have any designs on winning or anything, but it just looks good on a football field to have TN v Auburn again.

and as much as i may want a partcular current virginian as our head coach...i'm not gonna lie, i'm also glad we're not going to do the coaching search thing again so soon.

as disappointing as it is to get a nut punch on the field, i don't know that i could take another one off of it by seeing what jack leg we'd hire this time around.

i deally....pruitt turns things around, a little bit....fulmer finishes out this year, next...and we go hire Mark Ingram to finish Pruitt's 5th year and then we move on with some steady leadership, long term leadership in the UTAD. so if any changes do need to be made, they're made by a guy that will be here to see them thru, or fix them when they need fixed.

plus Barnes isn't going to be here forever, he's not getting younger. and i'm sure Vitello would like to have a "long term" answer on a boss too, because he's going to continue to be a hot commodity i believe.

we've been at a unique point in time for UT and the UTAD, and unfortunately, we're just still in a position where the adminstration at the UTAD still has a temporary feel to it. and i do think that's part of the issue....especially if you're wanting to attract the best of the best coaches.

pruitt can buy some time, which is what we need...the next 18 months are probably pretty big for the next 10 years....no pressure Jeremy. ;)

No one knows what, that Pruitt is safe this year? We've just had several posters with connections say that Pruitt is safe this year. It's not happening. It doesn't matter how much you complain, Pruitt will be our coach next year. No one is happy with the way things are going, but UT isn't ready to swallow that buyout and conduct another coaching search, especially after the embarrassment of the last one.
I guarantee you those same insiders change their tune if we lose out. They won’t be able to keep Pruitt if we go 2-8. The fanbase apathy will be too much.

Is it bad im kinda hoping Nix is out. Without him and I believe I saw someone mention Seth Williams maybe out. If so the improbable could happen. I mean the line is only 10.5 so Vegas still believes.

Lots of Karens in here worried about what will happen IF USCe hires Freeze.

We don't need to do any pre-worrying about other teams right now. There is plenty enough for us to worry about on our own team.

I’m normally inclined to agree with your point, but in this case, I think the worry is justified. Freeze at SC would be a disaster for us. Just no other way to spin it.

bo nix is a bit of an engima himself. he's plenty good enough to beat a team like us, but he is very capable of putting up a real stinker of a performance too....so while i won't argue that having the starting QB out is not ideal for any team, i don't know that it's the straw that breaks the back for them....

bottom line, i'll take whatever advantage we can get....lol

i do agree with that. i don't think anyone expects to beat Auburn, aTm or Florida. but a loss to Vandy would kinda be a dealbreaker for many....the dynamic changes, i believe, if that were to happen.

Yeah, I was thinking similar. I'm sure some would complain, but Muschamp as Co-DC, coaching ILBs, Bo Davis for the DL, Tosh Lupoi for OLBs, and lets Pruitt and Ansley focus on fixing the secondary.

Been thinking about offense, I wonder how Tee would do at QB coach? If he could coach QBs, Osovet could coach WRs, Graham remains with the RBs, and Nieds could move back to TEs. Just leaves replacing Friend and Chaney.

Maybe it's just putting a band-aid on a bullet wound, but it would be an impressive staff, IMO.

Muschamp gonna sign a contract here to double down on his payout?? I'm sure Heavy will give him another million dollar buyout.

Like everyone else I want the best proven coach available but we always seems to attach to one name for whatever reason in here. Freeze is a good one to look at but I want to know who else is out there. We were toxic last coaching search and the proven coaches weren't going to touch UT but this time if CP did anything he has brought in good players and has built a base of good talent, just seems to not be able to develop the talent. jmo of course

Would not be good, I agree. It is still would not be instead of will not be. If they hire him, then I will begin my own hand wringing.

Lol. He is an idiot. First off, our upperclassmen are plenty talented to beat Kentucky and Arkansas. Secondly, Falcons problem is not talent. It’s coaching. Glad his whole statement is wrong and he has no idea what he is talking about.

Worrying is dumb, especially over this. But isn't worrying about our team a lost cause? We're going to suck and keep our ****** coach or hire another ****** coach to replace him. I'd rather worry that USC doesn't hire Freeze so I can hang onto that shred of hope that we flip the roster in the AD and get someone competent in the position that will hire Freeze for us. He's our Gruden this time around.

It won’t even take losing out.

For the record, I think we could beat Auburn and Vandy, then get destroyed by Florida and A&M to finish the year and he gets fired.

He’s not as safe as the insiders are saying - they’re just getting word from the power players who haven’t made a steadfast decision either way.

Take Atlanta Vol for example. I have a lot of respect for the man and his information, so I’m not throwing stones. I’ve seen some of the philanthropy work and really appreciate it.

However, if you look back at his posts from the summer, every thing was great, Pruitt looked like the real deal, and all boats were rowing in the same direction.

Fast forward to present day, now that we suck on the field, and he said there is still a lot of internal fighting and that he himself would support a coaching change if asked for his opinion.

Now, either things got bad very quickly, or things weren’t as good as he portrayed in the summer. Or, what I think is more likely, is that the opinions of people in power can turn 180 degrees in the blink of an eye and they’re all very fickle and power-craven.

And since the precedent has been set by South Carolina that money isn’t as tight as it seems, Pruitt is not safe, barring some crazy finish where we beat Florida or something.
