Man I did love to see us FINALLY use some of those rub or mesh plays. Seems like such a money play on 3rd downs. I don't get why we seem to always avoid things that help the offense.Chaney has full power. Someone else could’ve been calling plays but honestly to me, the offense looked exactly the same in what limited things you could go by.
If i had to bet on it i think there’s multiple voices involved in the game script because in the first few drives we ran a few mesh concepts (we haven’t done that all year) ... one to velus on a big play and we also had a HB wheel route and angle route that were successful.....
the game goes on and we don’t see that.
Yea we sent Hyatt on that orbital motion several times. Was waiting on us to use it or either pump to it.Man I did love to see us FINALLY use some of those rub or mesh plays. Seems like such a money play on 3rd downs. I don't get why we seem to always avoid things that help the offense.
Noticed we also used motion more - orbits apparently. And voila we put up nearly 500 yards. Why does our staff want to make this so hard consistently?
Chaney legit changes the offense based on the players imo. Just consider Maurer last season, he ran RPOs about 3x as often as JG (per SEC StatCat) did. Not sure there's anything like that yet to point to for HB and he's mostly played in garbage time, but I wouldn't be surprised if things change a bit with him too. Especially to pare things down. I think we see more this week..have a feeling we see HB.Question, people talk about the offense being different between the two, but could it just be JG rarely, if ever, looks past his first progression and HB actually reads the play?
Remember when Jeremy Pruitt was hired and ITS and Jacob Copeland and Warren G’s kid were considering us and we were all excited?
I miss those days.
Ps - those guys any good? I don’t pay attention to usc but I do Florida some and it seems like you never hear about Copeland at all
Those USC kids are good.Remember when Jeremy Pruitt was hired and ITS and Jacob Copeland and Warren G’s kid were considering us and we were all excited?

Copeland looks good whenever he gets the ball.Remember when Jeremy Pruitt was hired and ITS and Jacob Copeland and Warren G’s kid were considering us and we were all excited?

I am starting to believe that because of the limited off-season, I do believe, Pruitt has been told by Fulmer that this is throw away year, trot JG out there regardless, and don't ruin HB. That is the only logical reason, I can figure he keeps starting JG. And why he looks so apathetic on the sideline. Also, correct me if I am wrong, but didn't AV elude to a big time grad transfer coming in (probably a QB?). Then you also have Salter coming in and a top 10 class, so a brand new QB room next year. Otherwise its a tin foil hat rational of he wants to tank, so he collects his buyout and runs back to Bama. That just doesnt make sense to me, to get to where Pruitt is you are super competitive and you want to win. You can't tank.
