We have had wide open receivers all over the field all year when we are able to run the full playbook. Chaney has been handicapped by JG.He’s mediocre. We need someone creative.
Other teams have faced COVID and not had near the struggles, including a first year, first time head coach at Arkansas. Makes it really hard to believe Pruitt deserves a pass. Especially given his attitude.I’m not making excuses for Pruitt. But the amount of contact tracing we’ve had to do because of Knoxville's law on it has been ridiculous. Kids were likely quarantined who weren’t even sick and their much needed development was hurt in the process I mean Bailey’s first time to touch a ball was 3 days before our first game.....
That’s insane. Period. I think you have to give JP Atleast next year. If he doesn’t show anything then obviously you get rid of him.
But, this year has been a lot worse for us due to COVID than people want to admit.
Because it isn’t going to be a better game. We’re going to get hammered, I just want the kid to have a legitimate shot at winning his first game when he gets the reins. So you want him to play but you don’t want him to start? Lol wth why would you want JG to have time to ruin what could possibly be a way better game with Bailey starting?
Is this opposite world?
I think I heard Wayne and Calbert both missed 28 days of practice and never once had the virus.I’m not making excuses for Pruitt. Kid has started games since he was a freshman in Big A football in Georgia. Starting a game in the SEC worries him not. That’s a fan thing.Because it isn’t going to be a better game. I’m sad again. And I won’t say how or why....but rest assured JP will be our coach next year....and PF has tied himself to the success or failure of this hire. Ill leave it at that.
Happy thanksgiving.

Ole Miss’s insiders were saying this same **** the day after last year’s Egg Bowl... “get over it” “it’s not happening, Matt Luke will be the coach next year” “we don’t have the money” a lot of sayings along the lines of that. Then about a day later they fired Luke. And I won’t say how or why....but rest assured JP will be our coach next year....and PF has tied himself to the success or failure of this hire. 100. Getting crushed in recruiting right now and recruits read these boards. Need some show of optimism or belief that Pruitt isn’t going to get fired.

Covid wasn’t an issue at that time.Ole Miss’s insiders were saying this same **** the day after last year’s Egg Bowl... “get over it” “it’s not happening, Matt Luke will be the coach next year” “we don’t have the money” a lot of sayings along the lines of that. I know how we feel about Ole Miss’s mods/insiders, but still.
Compared to TN, KY has been a total police state when it comes to COVID measures, yet they still found a way to come into Neyland and kick our @$$.
Everyone in the world has had to to deal with COVID. It absolutely does not excuse the product that’s been put out on the field this year.
Correct, but COVID’s main effect on the university and the program is financial. And that was one of Ole Miss’s big problems with firing Matt Luke, like their insiders said, but it didn’t stop them from pulling the trigger.Covid wasn’t an issue at that time.
I don’t think it’ll happen. It especially won’t happen if Bailey plays up to his 5 star potential.Correct, but COVID’s main effect on the university and the program is financial. FWIW I don’t think we’ll actually fire Pruitt but I think Fulmer could possibly change his mind.
I agree, but if he doesn’t... what happens?I don’t think it’ll happen. It especially won’t happen if Bailey plays up to his 5 star potential.
QB has been the only thing holding this team back.
We have issues at other positions but a competent QB solves a ton of issues.
Again like I said Bailey touched a football 3 days before our first game. Maybe he honestly just needed time to develop more and get reps.I agree, but if he doesn’t... what happens?
And if he does, why did it take so long to start him? Pruitt isn’t an idiot, but he’s been given ample time now to give this guy the snaps he needs to succeed. COVID was obviously a factor but he should have been ready for Arkansas 100%.
