And who is continuing to play the wrong QBs? What makes you have faith that our head coach will suddenly change and be able to play the correct QB going forward? Bailey should have been the starter day one and Pruitt admitted that they didn’t prepare him at all until the other QBs were complete trash.
Winners win, losers care about outside things. Let that sink in.
It’s going to be bad when we start Bailey against Florida and our offense actually moves. I bet we score around 28-31 points. But we still lose by 27. Zero reason to keep Pruitt then when he is suppose to be a defensive guru.Even though we’re nowhere close to them, Florida is the measuring stick.
Getting whooped will further cement where we’re going in Year 3 vs. where they’re going in Year 3.
How many freshman who don’t get action until that time are truly ready to start in that amount of time? You guys forget he didn’t get a spring ball even though he enrolled early.
If he starts and plays well, then I am going to assume staff wanted him to be fully prepared as much as possible before he got the start.
Lmao joke of a take.Oh good grief your experience in playing a non spectator hs sport doesn’t qualify you for such ridiculous takes.
You see it’s entirely reasonable to think that players playing an emotional sport (hs baseball isn’t one) where momentum can be flipped on a dime where crowds make a difference is important in the outcome of who wins and loses. Like it or not home team fans are factors in outcomes when it comes to SEC football and hoops
Get a permit and organize a protest march and camp out around the stadium. Do that every day for about a month and you just might get on the news at 5:00To the fans that lived and breathed the glory days of UT football, how does it feel knowing your beloved university is being run by idiots that refuse to do anything about changing.
Tennessee football isn’t suppose to have a loser mentality but here we are...15 years later. It’s time that we fans make a change and we are heard.
It’s numerous things. We have recruited barely any ILBs other than HT. Crouch played well at OLB last year and should have stayed. We have no real edge presence. Why are we shuffling our o line every other series? Any decent head coach would have benched JG during Kentucky and never gone back. The fact that he has continued to play someone who is literally giving more points to the other team is astonishing. He is in over his head and starting to sink.A-Taylor at CB, Q-Crouch at LB, J-Banks at LB, all of the TE's, all of the QB's, all of the other secondary other than Thompson, Henry T being allow to lose too much weight for ILB, etc. All miserable choices and development failures of talented players who should have gone elsewhere if this was how it was going to be allowed to go.
Any resurrection of Vol football begins at QB. He has to make the change to HB and never look back. A good QB, RB and O-line can win more games than they lose. We have that.
This is a tired excuse. This year was basically a free pass year for player eligibility. Even if Bailey wasn’t ready to start, you still get him meaningful playing time. Practice doesn’t matter, on the field results do. Get Bailey game time and let him learn as he goes. If he messes up all Pruitt has to do is say, look he’s out QB, he missed spring ball and he’s a freshman he’s going to make mistakes but he’s getting experience for next year. But Pruitt managed to screw up a free year of player eligibility and double down with JG.
Exactly. A good head coach knows when to stick to his guns and when to make changes because things obviously aren’t working on the field. Pruitt ain’t it.The most infuriating part of the QB controversy is what you describe here. It wasn't like he did not know after two previous seasons with #2.
Cue the Allen Iverson gif.
I think if HB starts and the OL plays decent there will be room for big plays. We won’t score 14.
