Last I have read (and I have been on the road a lot today), looks more like we are keeping him.
Which, if we just minimize his staff turnover, will just give us lower payouts....however, if we are doing mass turnover in his staff, then we will actually be increasing the amount we payout in total at the end of the next year--which is absolutely a such financial mismanagement the AD should be fired as well.
So, knowing UT, we will have mass staff turnover, new 3 year contracts for each person, and fire the entire staff next year with huge buyouts.
