I don't like him, I want him gone, but with TN accepting a bowl game and this "investigation" dragging out for weeks is not a good thing. The longer this drags out the more likely he is back.

I wouldn't say that. The investigation may need to be drawn out a few days. Whats the hurry? Coaches are playing in bowl games and NFL games possibly. A few days to let him have his time with family after the death of his grandfather isn't out of the realm of possibility, imo. And is prob the right thing to do, regardless of how us fans feel.

I do not believe UGA turned us in. If this investigation turns into anything, this is just a way to end Pruitt's time as HC. Cheaters do not tattle on cheaters. No one wants the NCAA snooping around.

You’d think if they want the “for cause” angle to have any legs, they’d have to turn this down, right?

Seeming more and more like this becoming public is just leverage to force Pruitt’s hands, possibly with other more serious infractions that haven’t yet gone public. Coupled with SEC directives to accept bowl for access to bowl revenues, makes sense that everything is going to continue to play out behind the scenes while Tennessee gets their ducks lined up nice and neat.

Fact is everybody is seeing what they want to see. Nobody that’s posting on these message boards knows what’s going to happen; they’re all just trying to read tea leaves and stroke their own ego and sense of self importance that they know what’s going to happen. They don’t. I sure don’t. And outside of a very very small circle nobody else does either.
And that very very small circle ain’t talkin. I still think when it’s all said and done he’s the coach next year.

Not with an investigation going on. It wouldn't be smart of Fulmer to comment on it before anything is done. I know that goes both ways, but point is nothing is guaranteed he's gone.

I so badly want you to be right. But I’ve seen this movie enough times now to know that nobody knows what’s going on, including the people that make the decision to fire CJP. The playbook is to let the rumors swirl for way too long and build to a national crescendo, all the while having no replacement lined up, finally pulling the plug way too late, botching the coaching search, getting 3-4 coaches raises with their current school/employer as they reject us in the national spotlight, then hiring someone who’s not qualified for a job of this magnitude due to a glaring lack of experience required to be a winner in the SEC. We’ve got that series down better than any that Chaney attempted on the field this season.

A lot of truth here. But I’m choosing to lean optimistic that they do better this time.

No truer words. None of the major schools will turn each other end.. that’s why even preacher man Dabo doesn’t turn people in. How does he get the best players that all the majors are in on?? Just that good pure Clemson culture?

It doesn't matter who we hire because we'll be in the same mind set, in 3 years, if we haven't beaten Bama, Florida or Georgia.

Could be wrong but I don’t think so. If progress is apparent and the coaches aren’t clearly being out coached, I think they’ll be treated with patience. The other key is not losing games they should clearly win.

Not sure,but everyone in college football knows we have upped our game in cutting corners since Fulmer and Pruitt took over. I have heard first hand, but most of SEC is doing it too. I find it hard to believe that our SEC rivals would report us. We have plenty on them too. IMO, this is something in house.

Fulmer would’ve come out to settle down the masses by now and to help with recruiting if he were back.

Not a month. Not a normal thing for coaches to be fired during the season. I do agree that it should have been decided at that point. I do think the death of a relative paused that and I also think the investigation did also.
