Ok guys and gals; To promote parity in college football. Use a ranking service such as Rivals or whoever. Teams such as Alabama or UT would be limited to signing only 2 five star recruits (for example), 10 4 star recruits(for example) and the remaining 13 be 3 star or less

To promote parity and equity you have a player draft and transition college football into a minor league just like baseball. Players get paid and take classes if they want or not. It's a job just like any other.

Aside from baseball, that’s how pro sports are organized, and it promotes parity for the most part.

Most of us are capitalists, but I learned a long time ago that a capitalist concept does not create a very competitive sports league.

Please stop comparing Pruitt to Majors. It’s a lazy argument that Fulmer tried to sell to the fans.

All losses don’t look the same. Majors teams were competitive while this team was blown out in every loss. Kiffin went 7-6 in year , but the team looked competitive so nobody was disappointed with the season.

It really makes no sense to keep Pruitt and will only set us back, but I guess we are stuck with him because our AD is incompetent. As fans we may have to blindly support the team,but no reason to try justify their incompetent decision making.

As much as I hate to say this. If you stick with Pruitt this coming season then you have to commit to him for at least 2 years. A lot of coaching changes next season and we aren’t gonna compete with some jobs that will open. Then you talk about assistants. No one is coming here for a year. No way. Multi year deals will need to be reached. That’s why I’m in agreement with most. You cut ties this year and move on. But I digress.

I know we are nowhere near getting there but how awesome would it be if the Vols were playing in the sugar bowl later tonight with a chance to get to the natty.

The butterfly’s you would feel, waiting all day in anticipation, some adult beverages or Coke Zero for @Bassmaster_Vol for pre game.

Been two decades since we have really been close to that feeling and seems further than ever right now.
