Just pointing out that the same people screaming that our bagmen need to be doing a better job are the same people screaming that Pruitt needs fired for cheating.

He would need to be fired for being sloppy in cheating. He also needs to be fired due to on field performance

I would think smart move would be to wait until late Wednesday or Thursday to make sure a players have attended class and are locked in before announcing anything. Just my opinion.

I wonder if Fulmer and Pruitt subscribe to the belief that “a coach that isn’t on the the hot seat does not need a vote of confidence.” He gave him an extension, and already released a statement about spring practice.

I wonder if we would have heard much about this investigation without someone leaking. I can see a chancellor and president looking at their budget, the AD’s budget, and the projected shortfall and come to the conclusion that it’s better to ride out the storm and let that buyout drop if you have a terrible year next year, especially with Fulmer repeatedly saying “look at this natty ring. Trust me, this is the guy.”

I think a football coach at UT who goes 3-7, gets blown out three years in row to your three main rivals, Kentucky blew you out at home in your third year, and possibly opened you up to NCAA investigations should be fired.

I don’t think the powers that be feel that way, and Fulmer can’t get the boosters to stop fighting long enough to cut a check to get out of this mess.

I bet they make Nieds the fall guy, and Fulmer and Pruitt help him find a job in the NFL. And then we will see year four of Pruitt.

Waited this long. So new coach couldn’t save on short notice. Need as many as possible to enroll. I’ve heard nothing but still think he’s gone.

The basketball program only has 10 players.... has a hall of fame well established coach and plays in possibly the weakest power 5 conference..... our admin needs to start acting like others do.... it is also the same kind of admin that lost Bruce pearl over a freaking barbecue...... if they don’t like Pruitt..... fire him.... he won three games..... you can sale that.... hard to sale the way they handling it now...... they are putting us behind the 8 ball and making it harder to be able to bring in a competent staff.

Exactly. The reason I'm so hesitant about Freeze is despite being a good coach, he's sloppy at cheating. Cheating is pretty much a necessity in college football if you hope to be successful, but it's all about doing it discreetly and intelligently. Blatant stupidity gets you in trouble.

What has the admin been doing the last 3 years to cause our football failure, while basketball has solidied and progressed?

Sorry, I don't get what this "admin issue" is. Maybe you mean Fulmer interjecting himself? Even that is tiny for an entire team/program to fail so badly. Pruitt was given everything he needed. Multiple million $+ coordinators, brand new gym setup, everything. Hard to see how higher ups are to blame for Pruitt getting blown out game after game.
