Maybe he means Compliance, which would line up with what Stoerner Fumbles is posting. I am not sure what LA Vol is trying to convey!

I’ve always been lukewarm on him as a teaching coach, but he’s a recruiting furnace and they go on to the next level. EVERY year there’s pleas to hire him and now Auburn served him up.

Doesn’t mean that..at all. Just the best fit for him at this time. Mario Cristobal was OL coach at Bama after being a head coach. Now he’s a P5 head coach. It means they are top notch at that position.

Kyle Flood was OL coach and going with Sark to be OC at Texas. He’s a former Rutgers head coach.

They finished 5-1 this year, 5-0 in PAC. And top 20 ranking, that was stymied due to Covid. 2nd year OC who's got it rolling.

Please. If a guy isn’t good enough to do anything more than coach OL at the easiest job on the planet then he is not qualified to be the head man at a much tougher job.

Austin Price made a good point last night on that Locker Room show. Nothing too outlandish but pretty much just that these kids and their parents were told by Fulmer, some right before NSD, that Pruitt was coming back and how much of a disservice it is to them that he has been twisting in the wind for so long. Our administration needs to sack up and fire the man or stick it out through the sanctions if theyre coming.

Good post. I'm not in the camp that Steele failed miserably at Baylor, so he will fail miserably here. Baylor was miserable back then. It's not the job it is now. No talent. I don't want Steele as HC because of the good ole boy club politics he plays. But if Phil gets his way with the deciders and it is as the HC and not the interim, I can live with it and give him a shot if they hire an innovative OC. Nobody should complain about his D expertise. After flaming out at Clemson he went back to Saban's coaching reclamation program and has been good ever since. Sub 20 PPG average at Auburn over the past 5 seasons even counting this season's 23.6 while having to deal with Nix and the squirrelly Mahlzahn O turning it over and doing 3 and outs so often. That's a "yes!" in my book. Fixing the D and incrementally improving the O means 7-8 wins potentially in the first season. With Bryant coming in along with Henry, Butler and Middleton returning - there's good talent in the front 7 if they can get somebody to pressure from the edge. Garner would be the guy to recruit and develop who they already have.

Pruitt just needs to be gone or he will meddle in it all and make it worse. My concern is they then make Steele HC and keep Chaney as OC. That will mean nothing good for recruiting and the O scheme.

If Ogre can do it after flaming out so badly at Ole Piss by hiring good coordinators and staying out of the way...then so can Steele. He obviously knows how to do the Tennessee schmooze fest dance pretty well.
