He has done some good but a lot of bad. He has a losing record and we have been curbed stomped by all of our rivals every year. It’s been three years to show improvement and we have gotten worse. It’s time to move on. I like Pruitt and wish he could have just been our DC, but he is not a head coach.
Getting rid of Pruitt is a bad thing.
As far as I knew you were in the fire him months ago camp
I’m wrong?
If you're posting names, you've manned up bud. I apologize for my earlier post. Keeping it real.@LA Vol I am sorry if I used wrong lingo. I was just told that Gunn and Stiff are in the thick of it. I guess I assumed that their staff would be too. I appreciate what you bring to the board and know you catch a lot of heat. Now I’m doing the same! Sorry if I ruffled feathers
Money talks. How much willing to throw down....? And the investigation wasn't initiated by the university or anyone that wanted to get Pruitt fired....they had to act or else lose all credibility in compliance.Wait until you see who we hire. We just crippled the candidate pool with this investigation and resulting punishments along with not supporting our guy. Who in their right mind would want to come into this mess.
I'm just saying...Here's a prediction... Sometime in the next week, or maybe two, the investigation will present their findings. Pruitt will be dismissed. Fulmer will retire with a thanks for all your help. Quickly, a new Ad will be named and I believe Freeze will be introduced as the new head coach.
I think they are talking with Freeze right now. I think they already have the AD lined up.
I know this will get pushback but it's the only real option left to them. You don't put a hiring freeze on your coach if you don't already have something on your mind.
Of course, this is UT so...
Yep..... they had reason to fire him at 3-7 but why do this to ourselves.... I will never understand UT.I’ve wanted him gone for a while. Firing him months ago was a much better look. Doing it now after we’ve signed a class and many have moved in, accepted transfers, and after multiple other schools have hired staffs is just bad bad bad.
It’s not the move I hate. It’s the timeline of it. Plus the recruiting trouble implications.
There’s a huge difference in firing over 3-7 to firing because we got busted for cheating and gonna get busted by the NCAA.
