If I am looking outside the Tennessee family for an AD I'm looking right at Orlando, Florida and Danny White at UCF.

Football coaches he's hired.....Scott Frost and Josh Heupel....also hired Lance Leipold when White was at Buffalo.
Basketball coaches he's hired....Bobby Hurly and Nate Oats at Buffalo and Johnny Dawkins at UCF

Ok I am switching my first choice
From Ingram. I think we need a hire that doesn’t have an prior relationship with Haslam or Anderson or anyone else around this program

I'd tell him no.

That would be a bad look for UT with future recruits. Probably the only reason he committed to us was because of Pruitt and a big ole bag of McDonalds

(1) Clark (def if Ingram is AD)
(2) Chadwell
(3) Steele

Clark apparently wouldn't interview again at Auburn because he wanted full say in his coaching staff. Something I'm not sure he'd be given at Tennessee either.

Don’t want any of these 3 as HC. I’ll settle on Steele as DC and/or Chadwell as OC but none of those as HC.

A bargain who is also the AP Coach of the Year. That also frees up a lot of money for staff, especially without the Pruitt buyout.

I also think if we are talking FU money hire, then looking at that list, Matt Campbell is your guy (look at his buyout).

Napier is also a steal. I really just wonder about how much we're willing to stomach the price to pry him out and whether we want another Saban disciple.

I just hope we are not picking someone because they are a bargain. If they think he can win that's different.

He also coached a colorado during a time there was some serious rape issues iirc.

The bottom line Colorado didn’t reach out to him with their openings. That’s telling

I think if I'm a search firm, the first thing I'm doing is taking that list and making a scatterplot. The x-axis is what they're getting paid and the y-axis is what they've done. Go get someone who is getting underpaid and producing and avoid those who are getting overpaid and are not.

This kid is garnering a lot of buzz...I really hope South Carolina doesn’t end up with him. whoever our next coach needs to take a look at him. I think he would immediately start.
