The way that dude has worked us, I'd rather hire Butch as HC, Dooley as OC, and Pruitt as DC before hiring that guy.

How do we feel about Dave Clawson (Wake Forest) or Justin Wilcox (Cal)? They both have had stints here but have shown well at their schools. Jeff Brohm's (Purdue) star has fizzled a bit but he's still a great coach.

They should have been from day one. Whitehead is a linebacker. I think we see a lot of players move to their natural positions once we get a new head coach. We have plenty of running backs that can move over. Shoot, put key at safety, move Tank to linebacker if you have to. Sham is probably thrilled right now and he is a damn good nickel.

How do we feel about Dave Clawson (Wake Forest) or Justin Wilcox (Cal)? They both have had stints here but have shown well at their schools. Jeff Brohm's (Purdue) star has fizzled a bit but he's still a great coach. He was in that same "rising stars" coaching class with Campbell (Iowa State) and PJ Fleck (Minnesota).

I think that those are five names that would be as good, if not better, than the guy they hired at Auburn.

Wilcox is a pure west coast guy. He’s not coming south.

Clawson is actually a solid coach and the more I learn about Fulmer the more I think he was sabotaged. But...I think he’s at the perfect place for him. I’d rather give a guy like Chadwell a shot.

I think Brohm is still pissed UT leaked him coming here. I think that bridge has been burned. Plus 19-25 at Purdue? His best season was in year one? I don’t like that.

I know you get fleck errr flack for this... but I really wish we had just fired Pruitt in Novemeber and let Tee do what Steele is trying to accomplish. Why didn’t Randy and Donde ask me.

I never wanted that. There would’ve been too much pressure on tee and too much on us to hire him. It’s like Scott frost as Nebraska. Sometimes being back at home is only as good as the reason you’re back.

I’m really trying to wrap my head around the fact that some think Bob Stoops might come here. Serious question: why do ppl think he would want to come take the reins of the disaster we’re currently in? I just don’t see it. Because of FU money? He’s already set if he’s taken care of his money, which he most likely has.

I’d love for Herman to be the next coach. Him and Steele would be a great combo as well.. but it’s UT.. not gonna pay for what we want to get unfortunately.. I hope I’m surprised though.

I did like things he said in nfl podcast. I would wonder what he would run at big program. He said something to effect of sure everyone wants the 6”3 monster but I’m a realist that if I’m getting the 6”3 monster he probably can’t move very well so he goes for the smaller guy with the chip on his shoulder that can move and play with leverage. Said something about all his OL were wrestlers that know how to fight. Also liked his adjustment talk as he plays multiple styles then see which style the defense has decided to defend such as BYU chose read so he went triple option and ran it down their throat. Impressive interview. I have my worries to what he would do at this level but I would easily like and support him based on his personality

I was going to make a joke about how people on this board think they have the expertise to see and make calls about our LBs. And then I realized we just fired our LB Coach, who literally had the same coaching experience as most of us. Zero. Just a bag man with “swag”...
