Ummm...I doubt Ole Miss would rehire the coach that they fired for NCAA violations.Peyton needs to remove himself then. This hire has to be about the university of Tennessee and Tennessee only. It absolutely cannot be about how it might hurt your brother or dad’s alma mater. If Kiffin is the best available candidate then we have to hire Kiffin. If Peyton is half the professional he is made out to be he knows that as well. Besides, OM would turn around and hire Freeze. Half of them want to do that ASAP anyway.
FU money.White makes just over 1M a year and his buyout is 2.5M
The report shares that White’s new contract takes him through 2025 and gives him a pay raise to $1,081,500. The pay raise pushes him just past Florida athletic director Scott Stricklin who had an annual salary of $1.076 million.
White’s new deal also includes a rollover clause that annually keeps the contract at five years. He can earn a 3% performance bonus for an AAC title in football, and 2% for league titles in other sports and can earn 10% of his base salary for a national title in football.
If he were to choose to leave for another “executive job at an NCAA institution or professional sports franchise,” he would owe $2.5 million before May 11, 2021 and that figure decreases by $250k each year until it hits $1.5 million in 2025.

Basilio is giving Dennis Dodd the business on the air right now over the Greg Schiano deal. He is owning him. lol
Continuous revisionist history on here. Thank you for clarifying. Peyton is a VFL all day, every day.He didn’t ok it. They asked him to help calm the masses. It’s not like he isn’t a good coach. He just wasn’t the right coach. People love trying to make Peyton the villain in that but all he was doing was saying give the guy a chance and support him because at that point things were signed and ready.
Thankfully they weren’t SIGNED...but great points. He didn’t ok it. They asked him to help calm the masses. It’s not like he isn’t a good coach. He just wasn’t the right coach.
