In order to convince everyone around UT to be on board with Kiffin, and even avoid bad PR in the media, you have to have an AD with a reputation like White. Kiffin is in play, but the candidates that are interested blows away the candidate pool of the last four searches. Having an AD like White and respected admin like Plowman and Boyd show coaches that Tennessee finally has its sh** together.

I will honestly be disappointed if we hire Leipold.

I'm not sure how to feel. Uncertainty is the worst thing, and with the NCAA investigation, there is some uncertainty. It is why I like the interim route if we really don't like any of our options at the minute.

Theres no shot we just brought in the highest paid AD in Florida to bring in Buffalo's coach. For the first time I actually do see our list as A+ candidates. Petersen, Kiffin, Freeze, others. Lets ride.

I’m not in any loop but if this many folks are talking he’s widely respected and is the right guy to ease any blows that come.
