I don't understand how Saban keeps all those egos in check seemingly effortlessly. Or maybe he doesn't and it doesn't even matter because he's the guy who makes that thing run and everyone else is just window dressing.

It’s called Power.

Whoever will be hiring them after they leave his program will rely on his word of mouth. That’s how you keep egos in check.

Kind of like not saying what you really want to say to your Boss at work half the time because you don’t want to be fired.

Part of it is coaching, part of it is just that Ole Miss had zero talent on that side of the ball this year. Even less than what we will have.

If money is no object, he would have to chance to hire a great defensive staff.

Not good info, but hearing that names amongst players is mainly Kiffin and Herman. Not super telling, but some players knew about DW this morning

If those are choices #1 and #2......please hire Kiffin. Instant excitement in the fanbase. Energy around the program. Redemption story. Recruiting. Etc. Etc. It's just the better fit. Herman would be a fine choice, but if it's those two at the top PLEASE go with Kiffin.

Him leaving Vandy had everything to do with the administration being terrible and tightening admissions on players committed that last year he was the HC.
