Cristobal is real shady in recruiting. He’s got a reputation that I think would steer us clear of him.The idea of Kiffin is growing on me, but I don’t hate the idea of Neal Brown either. Cristobal and Fickell too.
Two other REALLY out of the box names I haven’t seen mentioned are Geoff Collins at GT and Jeff Hafley at BC. Young guys who are great recruiters...I think both are defensive guys though.
Here is the mistake Currie made that hopefully White won't. Currie let the fever pitch grow about Gruden, he should have found a way to make sure everyone knew Gruden wasn't on the table. Behind the scenes Currie thought it was "funny" that everyone thought Gruden was on the table.
I'm not so sure that is was a bad move at this point. It has been such chaos for the new players that just got on campus that having some semblance of a leader may provide them calm until some things get straightened out. May cost you a little cash, but may be worth it in the long run. Im not denying your "weird" claim though.Still pushing that old tit. Steele isn't going to keep anyone from transferring. Hiring him was a weird move.
When I read that, I imagine Stoops is more so talking about the reputation of the SEC, not anything personal about Pruitt.I don’t understand this. Pruitt didn’t recruit any better than Jones but folks are acting like he was Kirby stacking 5*s. The implication that we need to cheat to land what Pruitt did manage speaks to him being a lousy recruiter otherwise. His classes remind me of Dooley with some high profile players but not earth shattering overall.

The same fever pitch is going to grow for Kiffin. If he isn't a legit candidate, they better find a way to ease into it before possibly walking out what would seem a disappointment to fans but an actual good hire.
@HankHill !!!!!!!Fleck has always reminded me of Butch Jones.
